This examination is conducted for selecting candidates in Military, navy, Air force and officer's Training academy.

Girls are also eligible for CDS Examination under OTA. Boys can apply for all the post, but give preference at the time of filling online application form. Your age should between 19 to 25 years to Join CDS.

If you have study Maths and Physics subject in your Intermediate examination and completed graduation then you are eligible for all the academy. Those who have not study these subjects are only apply for IMA and OTA academy.

The selection procedure includes written test followed by SSB interview and Medical test. The examination is totally objective with negative marking, you need to prepared well to cracked this examination, examination is very competitive because lots of candidates appear for this examination, The next year CDS(I) Examination notification is going to be published soon, you can check the dates from the official website.

Re: Is 50% marks in graduation enough for Defence Services?

Friend, 50 % marks are not required for defence service. But candidate have to crack the competitive defence recruitment examinations like NDA Exam, CDS Exam, AFCAT, UES etc. For these above mentioned examinations, candidate just required prescribed educational qualification with any percentage marks. Percentage of marks is no bar in these examination.Detail requirements for CDS Examination:-- Indian national.-- 10+2+3 system of education.-- degree in any stream.-- Unmarried marital status.-- Age of 19-22 years for Naval Academy.-- Age of 19-23 years for Air Force Academy.-- Age of 19-24 years for Indian Military Academy.-- Age of 19-25 years for Officer Training Academy

    Dear Candidate,

Congrats for your completion of Graduation from your respective course.

But if you are trying for the exams of NDA or UPSC then you need to have minimum 50% to 60%.

Any thing more than 60% is welcomed.

So it varies for post to post some post are only for 50% and some are for 60%.

Also in some rare cases we find situations like SC/ST are available for some relaxation upto 5%.

But maximum there are 60% cutoff for the jobs.

If you dont have minimum 60% then try for another posts which donnot ask any percentage criteria.

    Note: You should be unmarried

    Hope this info helps you.

All the best for your future endeavor's.

If you are applying for CDS,then there will be no problem with 50% marks. You will be eligible with a pass degree in your graduation. There is no restriction on marks for any wing of CDS i.e. IMA,OTA,INA and AFA.
If you are applying for SSC Technical or AFCAT,then you will need 60% or more marks. But CDS does not have any restriction. You are perfectly eligible with your marks.Try to score more in the physical tests and drills to have a good chance. All the best
