    Am I eligible for CDS exam being student of dual degree M.Tech?

    I am doing mtech dual degree in electrical engineering from nit rourkela.. Am , i eligible to appear for cds exam

    Actually , the Minimum Qualification to appear for the CDS exam is , GRADUATION only
    So, with Graduation , everyone can apply for the CDS exam to join Defence services . But , you mentioned that , you are doing Dual Degree in Electrical Engineering , so , you are also eligible to apply for the CDS exam as per your Qualification and you should also satisfy the other Eligiblity Cirtiria points of the CDS exam , given below .

    Eligibility Criteria of CDS exam : -
    -------------------------------------------

    1) The candidate's age should be in between 19-22 years , for NAVY

    2) The candidate's age should be in between 19-23 years , for AIRFORCE

    3) The candidate's age should be in between 19-24 years , for ARMY

    4) The candidate must be a citizen of INDIA



    Remember that , the exam will helds two times in every year by UPSC .



    Selection process is based on ,

    ~ Written exam

    ~ Interview

    ~ Medical Test




    Exam Syllabus is ,

    ~ General Knowledge - 100 marks , which has 120 Questions

    ~ General English - 100 marks , which has 120 Questions

    ~ Elementary Maths - 100 Marks , Which has 100 Questions

    Friend, please note that candidate having dual degree or any single are definitely eligible for CDS Examination. For CDS Examination, only graduation degree is required and emphasis given on nature and mode of degree. As you have master degree of M.Tech, so you may apply for all three wings of defence forces, i.e., army, navy & airforce. For Indian Military Academy and Officer Training Academy, any degree in any discipline makes you eligible for it.For navy or airforce, any engineering degree or any degree having subjects physics and mathematics makes you eligible for it.You must have scored atleast 60 percent marks in aggregates.Your age limit should be:For Navy: 19-22 yearsFor Air Force: 19-23 yearsFor IMA or OTA: 19-24 yearsApart from above mentioned age limits and educational qualification, following conditions must be fulfilled:-- Indian-- Unmarried -- Physically fit-- No any deformity in bodyWISH YOUR BRIGHT FUTURE

    Hello friend
    Yes you are totally eligible to apply for the COmbined defense services.
    Graduation is the minimum qualification you require to apply for the THE CDS exam.
    For this exams you need to qualify
    Eligibility to qualify
    >>unmarried male candidates
    >>citizen of india
    >>age limit-20-25 yrs
    >>education qualification-Final year graduation appearing student or graduation passed student from any recognised university or equivalent.

    You need to apply online on the website www.upsc.gov.in.

    yes you are eligble for cds but you have to appear for upsc or such a exam releated to this exam by keeping in mind the age limit as to limit age also have to been seen so keep age and try for it

    you are eligible for the cds exam . The persons who have completed Graduation can apply for the exam and it is the minimum qualification also .
    Here , your age is the main issue .

    To join in ARMY WINGS , age should be between 19-24 years
    To join in NAVY WINGS , age should be between 19-22 years
    To join in AIRFORCE , age should be between 19-23 years


    So, if you satisfy the eligiblity criteria of the CDS exam which mentioned above , then you can apply for the cds exam.

    Yes,you are eligible if you are in fourth year and if you have 60 % overall .CDS exam is conducted by UPSC to recruit officers in Indian armed forces namely-

    Indian army

    India navy

    Indian airforce.

    you have to select your field as electrical engineering.Other than electrical engineering you have to pass following papers also-

    General knowledge

    Geography of India

    Analytical skills paper

    after exam you have to qualify the personal Interview also.

    dual degree donot help u any where u have to be smart

    Yes you can but your b tech should be 60% and this is being conducted twice a yea in month of august and april every year your age should be b/w 16 to 25 and height 157. 5 for male 152 for female weight according to height your visible should be 6/6 with out glass

    yes.. definetly you are eligible as far as educational requirement is concerned..
    you have to have at least 60% marks at graduation level ,but as your degree is dual one with post graduation you should score 60% by the end of your m.tech..
    age requirements for cds are as follows:
    19-23yrs for army
    19-22yrs for navy
    19-23yrs for air force

    Dear yes you are eligible to apply for the CDS (Combined Defense Services) because for CDS exam the minimum qualification required is graduation from a govt. recognized university and dear you have done masters so dear according to educational qualification eligibility you are eligible to apply for the CDS exam. Dear CDS exam is carried out twice in a year namely CDS I and CDS II.

    yes definately you are eligible for giving the CDS exam because the minimum requirement for giving this exam is given as below:-
    1. the candidate must have graduation degree with minimum of 55% marks scored at graduation level.
    2. the candidates age must lie in between 19-24yrs.for army
    for air force 23yrs
    for navy 22yrs.

    3. only male candidates can apply for this exam .
    4. the candidate must be the citizen of india.

    Yeah sure , but you must have a satisfy the age limits of Combined Defence Service Examination . If you are exceed the framed age limits of CDS Examination and then you are not eligible to apply for the CDS Examination .

    Combined Defence Service(CDS) Examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year . Mostly this examination will be held in the month of February and September . The application forms are available in the online mode and there is no offline mode application .

    2012 CDS I & CDS II examination was already completed , 2013 CDS I application was already completed . The examination will be conducted soon ....

    -->> Date of Notification :: 10/November/12
    -->> Last date for receipt of application :: 10/December/12
    -->> Date of examination :: 17/February/2013

    CDS II Important dates ::

    -->> Date of Notification :: 25/May/2013
    -->> Last date for receipt of application :: 24/June/2013
    -->> Date of examination :: 08/Sept/2013

    Recruitment of following posts and they are IMA , NA , AFA , OTA ... Approximate Number of Vacancies ...

    --250 for Indian Military Academy
    --40 for Indian Naval Academy
    --32 for Indian Air force Academy
    --175 & 12 for OTA Men & Women .....This numbers will be vary from year to year .

    Eligibility Criteria ::

    For IMA & OTA :: Unmarried male candidates and must have a completed degree course . You must have attained the age of 19 years and must not have attained the age of 24 years . Final year candidates are eligible to apply for IMA Examination .

    For NA :: Unmarried male candidates and must have a completed B.Sc degree with Mathematics or Physics and Engineering degree course may also eligible to apply . You must have attained the age of 19 years and must not have attained the age of 22 years . Final year candidates are eligible to apply for NA Examination .

    For AFA :: Unmarried male candidates and must have a completed degree with Physics and mathematics at 12th examination of a recognized Institution . You must have attained the age of 19 years and must not have attained the age of 23 years . Final year candidates are eligible to apply for AFA Examination .

    If you are not crossed above mentioned age limits then you are absolutely eligible to apply for the CDS examination . Apart from the eligibility criteria , you must be physically and mentally fit while appearing for this examination . It is play a key role in your exam point of you .

    CDS exam qualification is only graduation.
    If you have dual degree in m.tech.
    Then your age is not less than 25 years.
    Because maximum age for cds exam is 25 years.
    You must be citizen of India.
    CDS exam Procedure -
    1>Written exam
    2>Interview exam.
    3>Medical Exam.

    Minimum height for male - 157.5 cm and female candidates height not less than 152.5 cm.

    Yeah....you can go for CDSE examination...

    CDSE: Combined Defense Service Examination...

    Eligibility for CDSE :


    You have to complete the graduation from any recognized university.

    And the age should be 19-25 years...

    You must be citizen from India


    If you fulfill those conditions you can go for CDSE examintion.........
