Re: Am I eligible for CDS exam to join Air Force if I didn't studied intermediate?

Yes definitely you will be eligible for CDS exam after you complete your Engineering graduation.

Your diploma is equivalent to intermediate so you don't have to worry about anything.

For CDS Graduation is needed and 10+2 marks are not considered so don't worry about 10+2 if you are applying for CDS examination.

You will be eligible for Air force because you are a Engineering student. So don't worry and apply for CDS examination when the notifications are out.

CDS examination is conducted every year twice by UPSC and the notifications comes during the month of May/june and Nov/December.

Selection is purely based on the performance in the objective paper , SSB interview and medical examination.

So just prepare for it if you really want to join Indian Air force.

If you want to join air force then there is one more exam known as AFCAT for Graduates . You can apply for this exam also after you complete the engineering graduation.

AFCAT is conducted for Flying branch , technical branch and ground duty branch in Indian Air force.

So be prepared for the exams so that you succeed in these exams.

Re: Am I eligible for CDS exam to join Air Force if I didn't studied intermediate?

    Hi,
Well the CDS exam is conducted by the UPSC and it has certain norms and eligibility criteria one of the important criterias are the educational one according to which the candidate must be having

Degree of a recognised university (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

So, you fulfill the criteria of the Bachelorate but your qualification lacks in the 10+2 level where you are not having the Physics & Maths which is kind of compulsory thus Its really sorry to say but you may not apply for the CDS exam.

    Hey friend,

It dosen't matter with the +2 but what matters is the degree which you are possessing and whether you have completed it with fair percentage or doing your Final degree exam means then you are eligible for applying for the exam

In the case of joining in Indian Air Force for which the CDS Exam offers you chances of joining, the way is that you need to satisfy the following to be eligible:

    ## The candidate appearing for the exam must be a citizen of India

    ## The candidate appearing for the exam must be a unmarried male candidate

    ## The age limit needed for the exam is that the candidate must have 16 1/2-19 years of age

    ## Education qualification needed for the exam is that the candidate must have completed a degree with Physics and Mathematics as subjects and should have completed with a fair percentage.

    ## You need to be physically fit while appearing for the exam and is very important.

If you are going to satisfy all these then you can apply for the CDS Exam as you are eligible for applying.

Check whether you satisfy the other criteria's along with the education qualification needed

For more info regarding the exam check at the official site of UPSC at www.upsc.gov.in

Yes....you can go for Airforce through CDS exam......

CDSE stands for combined Defense Service examination.......UPSC will hold the CDS exam every year.

The minimum eligibility for CDS is you have to complete the graduation from any recognized university.

Re: Am I eligible for CDS exam to join Air Force if I didn't studied intermediate?

    Hello

You must understand that diploma is nothing but equivalent to intermediate, yes the 10+2 is always equal to diploma,so just do not ever say from now onward that you have not completed your intermediate, because that is not correct.

The diploma is equivalent to 10+2,and one more thing no body can do graduation without intermediate.
    Hence,the question becomes in valid.

Even if you calculate after 10,if one goes for diploma it takes 6 years time to complete the course(counting after 10).
And if one do the diploma, the same amount of time is required after 10.The diploma is equivalent to 10+2.
