see to be eligible for the NDA exam you need to satify the following criterions-

1>you need to be fristly an Indian citizen

2>you should be a 12th passed or 12th appearing candidate in science stream.even commerce stream candidates are allowed to appear for the exam.

3>you also need to be below the age of 19 years and above the age of 16.5 to be eligible.

so if you satisfy the following criterions ,you are surely appear for the exam.

as you have mentioned that you were born in the year 1994.
so you might not be eligible for the NDA exam next year(2013).as you will be turning 19 year of age on 14-4-2013.

so you are not eligible for the NDA exam from nect year onwords.

    good luck

    Hi Aspirant

Sorry friend you can not apply for the NDA exam.

Because you donít satisfy the age limit criteria of NDA exam.

According notification of 2012 candidates who born between 2nd july 1994 to 1st January 1997 can apply for NDA exam.

So you are overage for the exam of 2012.

So you have no chance for NDA 2013 exam.

You can not apply for NDA exam anyhow.

But donít worry if defense service is you passion, then you have one other entry exam at graduation level.

That is Combined Defense Service exam.

CDS exam is also conducted twice in a year at national level.

So first of all you should complete your graduations as soon as possible.

You can apply for CDS exam till the age of 25 years.

Re: Am I eligible for NDA-I and NDA-II?

Sorry to say , but you will not be eligible to apply the NDA - I and NDA - II Examinations for the year 2013 .
This is because you will become 19 years old in the month of April 2013 and therefore you will become a non - eligible
for the NDA - I Examination held in the month of April 2013 . An unmarried 10+2 level passed male candidate is eligible for the NDA Examinations only if his age is between 16Ĺ to 19 years . And due to this only you are no more eligible to apply the NDA Examination in the near future .

But please don't get dishearten , try for other defence Examination after completing your graduation .

Re: Am I eligible for NDA-I and NDA-II?

    Dear aspirant,

NDA stands for National Defence Academy.

NDA exam is commenced twice by UPSC every year for admission to Army, Air Force or Navy Wing of NDA.

They are named as NDA-I and NDA-II by UPSC.

You are eligible for NDA exam only if your age lies between 16.5 to 19 years.

As you were not eligible for NDA-II exam that was commenced on 19 August 2012, so you will not be eligible for forthcoming NDA Exams of 2013.

Just because, in NDA-II only those candidates were eligible whose DOB fall between 2-07-94 and 1-1-97.

As your DOB doesn't falls in this range, so you are not eligible for NDA exams anymore.

    DEAR FRIEND..

The age requirement to apply for NDA is in between 16.5 to 19 years.

You can not apply because you will be 19 years of age by that time
and the age required is below 19 years.

You must not worry that much because if you have keen interest in
defence sector then you can join after completing your graduation.

You can apply for CDS exam after graduation and through that exam
also you can join any of the three wings of defence.
