    Application procedure for Technical Department of Indian Air Force?

    sir i am pursuing my BE COMPUTER SCIENCE final year can i know application procedure to join in technical department of indian airforce

    AFCAT stands for Air Force Common Admission Test and the Notification of This examination was already Published and If you are Interested to Join Indian Air Force As a Technical Branch then please apply for AFCAT Examination.

    To apply for Technical Branch You have to complete your Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) and Aeronautical Engineering (Mechanical) From a recognised University.

    You have to scored minimum 60% marks in your Engineering course from a recognised University.

    You age should between 18 to 28 years as on 1 January 2013

    Physical Standard:

    Height (Men) 157.5 cms,
    For Women 152 cms with correlated weight

    SELECTION PROCESS FOR AFCAT EXAM

    Important Dates :
    ---------------

    >> Date of release of Advertisement in Employmnet News : 10 December 2011
    >> Last date for receipt of applications: 13 January 2012
    >> Date of Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT): 26 February 2012

    Hi,
    You complete your BE in computer science , It's good . You join air force throw AFCAT exam .
    AFCAT exam : It stand for Air force common admission test . It exam conducted by Indian air force . You join technical department in air force apply for TECHNICAL SCHEME in this exam .
    Eligibility Criteria : Bachelor degree in engineering .
    Age : 18 to 28 year .

    FRIEND,IF YOU WANT TO JOIN TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT IF INDIAN AIR FORCE...
    THEN YOU HAVE TO FILL THE FORM OF AIR FORCE COMMON ADMISSION TEST.

    YOU CAN FIND NOTIFICATIONS ON AIR FORCE WEBSITE.....http://www.careerairforce.nic.in
    FORMS ARE RELEASED IN MONTH OF JULY AND JANUARY...

    YOU WILL HAVE YOUR AFCAT WRITTEN EXAM IN MONTH OF FEBRUARY AND AUGUST.
    afcat exam consists of..
    QUANTATIVE APTITUDE
    GENERAL KNOWLEDGE BASIC
    LOGICAL REASONING


    THEN AfTER CLEARING HE EXAM YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR SSB.
    SSB WILL START FROM MONTH OF NOVEMBER OR MARCH

    IN SSB YOU CAN CHOOSE FOR TECHNICAL BRANCH
    THERE YOU WILL HAVE ENGINEERING KNOWLEDGE TEST

    • to join air force you need to pass CDSE exam.
    • there after you have to clear SSB (Service selection Board).
    • If you cleared SSB and if you come in merit list then you are a FLYING OFFICER.
