    Being a mechanical engineer how to join Indian Navy? I have 2 years of work experience does it will help me to get there? I have eyesight problem this will effect my selection?

    Hello, my name is Gaurav Bhutani and i have completed my engineering from Sathyabama University from mechanical and Production in Year 2008 and then i have a job experience of 1 year and 9 months in Good Year Tires in production department currently im working in Wipro i wanna join navy how i should do that even i have a eyesight of 1.5 so what should i do get into navy and please tell me what exams should i give or there is a direct entry

    if your age is between 20-27 yrs ,

    you can apply for
    technical gradute entry scheme.

    In this scheme you will be directly call for ssb interviews.

    You will be notified in the official website of upsc or defence

    or in the weekly employement news paper.

    You can look for direct recrutement for Indian army.You have two years experience,it will help with the selection.Being weak criteria,you will have to wait for what they say or there should be any different criteria for those who have spectacle.

    Well You have a industry Experience fist congrats for you.So if you want join in Indian Navy after that the foolowing is the procedure
    1.Written Examination
    2.Personal Interview
    3.Medical Examination
    First appal you give entrance examination of CDS(combined defence service) .This examination is conducted by UPSC two times in a year.The age limit for this exam is 19-24 years.So you can check your age before apply.
    Syllabus for CDS Exam: The following are the syllabus for CDS Entrance exam.
    1.General English.
    2.General Knowledge
    3.Elementary Maths
    Personal Interview: The personal Interview is conducting by STAFF SELECTION BOARD for short listed candidates in written examination
