If you take Arts stream in your Intermediate examination then you are only eligible to apply for the Army wings of NDA. This examination is conducted twice by UPSC for the recruitment of Army wings, naval wings and Air force wings. On passing out from the National Defence Academy, Army Cadets go to the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. Selected candidates are eligible for preliminary training both academic and physical for a period of 3 years at the National Defence Academy which is an Inter-Service Institution. The training during the first two and half years is common to the cadets of three wings. The cadets on passing out will be awarded B.Sc./B.Sc. (Computer)/BA. degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi.

To apply for this examination you need a Intermediate certificate and your age should between 16.5 to 19 years. There is no minimum percentage is required to apply for this examination. Only Unmarried male candidates are eligible for this examination. Girls are not allowed to apply for NDA.

So, you can only apply for Army wings of NDA and have to choose Army wing only as your Preference at the time of filling online application form.

The last date of apply for this year NDA Examination was already over and if you have missed the chance then please wait for next recruitment. the examination is Objective and you have to prepared well to cracked this examination. Finally selected candidates in written examination are eligible for SSB interview for final selection and then you can join NDA Training for certain period.

So, please wait for next recruitment and if you need more information then please check official UPSC Website.

Dear aspirant if you are humanities student in 10+2 then you are only eligible for Army through NDA exam.

For air force and navy you have to be physics and maths student in 10+2.

So you can join NDA but will only serve in Indian Army if you are successful in NDA exam.

The selection for NDA is based on objective type paper and after qualifying paper you will be called for SSC interview.

SSB interview lasts for 5 days and is one of the toughest interviews.

    Yes my friend ,
You can apply for the NDA ( National Defence Academy ) examination and a good post too .
But Being a students of Humanities stream you can apply only for the Indian Army Wing of the NDA .
After completing the course in the Indian Army wing of NDA you can join the Indian Navy as a cadre .

Now the eligibility criteria for applying the National defence Academy examination to join its Army wing are -:
    1. You should be an unmarried Indian born Male candidate only .
    2. you age must be between 16 to 19 years at the time of applying the examination .
    3. you must pass the 12th class Board examination or 10+2 level examination or studying in the 12th class in a recognised university of India .
