Re: Can I become Pilot in Air Force if my eyesight is weak?

    Hello my friend ,
For your help I would like to tell you that if your eye is not too weak and should be at least good .
I mean that if your eyes are perfect 6/6 and worst 6/9 of any of the either eyes than only you are eligible for the
Job of pilot in the Indian Air Force .

So More elaborate answer for your question is given below -:
    Capture.jpg

Now from above it is clear that the candidates with spectacles are not - eligible for the post of Cadre in the flying Branch of the Indian Air force . Now the other physical criteria for the Flying Branch of the Indian Air Force are as follows -:
    Capture.jpgCapture1.jpgCapture2.PNG

You can apply for other 2 branches of the Indian Air force with the spectacles .
    1) Technical branch
    2) Ground duty branch
For joining this Branches you should apply for the AFCAT Examination after Completing your graduation in any field with more than 60% marks ..
And this examination is held by the Indian
Air force for both male and female graduates .

The eligibility criteria for applying the AFCAT (Indian Air force Common entrance test ) Examination are as follows-:
    1. You must be a citizen of India .
    2. You must be unmarried or married male candidate .
    3. At the time of applying the AFCAT Examination Your age must be between 19 to 27.

SO Best of luck and try for other Defence services .

It entirely depends on which entry you are going for,
If you want to go for Fighter pilot, then I am sorry but you can not.
then it comes observer, transport pilots, cargo and helicopters.
The exact permissible limit for eyesight is always given in notification for each entry.
whether it is for Indian Air Force, Indian Army (Army aviation corps) or Navy.
You need to get your eyes checked and know what is the number/power you are using to make it correctable
