    Hey friend,

Yeah you can join in Indian Air Force without NDA also but with a qualification of completed +2 and joining in Indian Air Force is impossible without writing the NDA exam as there is no other way and you need to write the entrance exam to join in Indian Air Force or any other defence forces of India.

If you want to write other exams apart from NDA you can choose to write the CDS or AFCAT Exam.

But for writing these exams you need to satisfy the framed criteria's for the exam and for writing them you need to have completed a graduation from a recognized university in order for joining.

SO,you cannot join in Indian Air Force without writing the NDA exam with having a qualification of completed +2

    Dear friend,
You have to write NDA exam to become an airforce pilot as you have completed your 12 th
If you don't want to appear for NDA exam you can appear for CDS exam after your graduation
So decide yourself which exam you want to appear and work for it

Re: Can I be Indian Air Force Pilot without NDA?

    Hello

YES YOU CAN BE A PILOT IN INDIAN AIR FORCE WITHOUT JOINING NDA(NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY).

The NDA was a option for the intermediate passed candidates, one can join the air force for the pilot spot through NDA with a mere qualification of 10+2.
But if you are not opting for the NDA,then in order to join the air force as a pilot you will have to wait till you complete your graduation.

The NDA is the only way for the 10+2 passed candidates to join the air force with 10+2 qualification, after that only graduation is the way.

But one factor that you must keep in mind is that you need to have the physics and maths in 10+2,irrespective of the fact whether you are applying on 10+2 basis or after graduation.

The physics and maths must be studied by the candidates at the intermediate level in order to apply for the pilot spot in the air force.
CDSE-Combined Defence Service Examination-is a entrance exam, you will enter in to the AFA(Air Force Academy),if you pass the entrance exam and the other following two stages of selection that is the 5 day interview and the medical fitness test after you qualify the entrance exam.

From AFA,you will get the entry as the pilot spot in the air force.

Actually as the name suggests CDSE,it is a combined defence service examination and is for entry into all three wings of the defence.
Through CDSE,you can enter in to AFA(Air Force Academy),NA(Naval Academy),IMA(Indian Military Academy),OTA(Officers Training Academy).

    It depends upon your preferences.

Other than these you have the option of applying through the AFCAT(Air Force Admission Test)-another entrance exam ,you can apply for the pilot spot through AFACT also.
But you need minimum 60% in graduation to apply for the AFCAT,where as there is no such issue with the CDSE.

Age limit for both the CDSE andf AFCAT is 19 to 23 years(at the time of commencement of the course).

NOTE:Both the CDSE and AFCAT have the graduation is the educational qualification criteria set from any stream but with physics and maths in the intermediate level.
