    Can only regular PG student are eligible to apply for Defence Forces?

    I am studying MSc physics in correspondence. I studied my BSc in regular stream. I want to join in the defence forces. Is it so that candidates of regular stream PG only can join in defence forces?

    Yes you can join the Indian army through CDS(Combined Defense Services) Examination. On qualifying in the exam you will be called for an SSB interview in which you will undergo many physical and mental tests and finally the interview and medical test. On qualifying in all the test will you be able to join Indian army as an officer. All the best.

    Date of CDS Exam (I) 2012 Notification : 29.10.2011

    Last date for receipt of form: 28.11.2011

    CDS Entrance Test Date: 12.02.2012

    IF YOUR AGE IS BETWEEN 19=24YEARS THEN YOU CAN APPLY FOR CDS EXAM..

    MAXIMUM AGE IS LESS THAN 27YEARS..

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

    1)EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS=

    a)SHOULD HAVE SECURED MINIMUM 60% IN RESPECTIVE SUBJECTS.

    b)SHOULD HAVE DEGREE PASSED CERTIFICATE FROM RECOGNIZED UNIVERSITY

    2)PHYSICAL CRITERIA=

    a)physically and mentally fit and fine.

    b)free from any diaereses and bone diseases, disability.

    c)height= men 157cm , for women 152cm with well developed chest.

    d)eyesight 6/6 or 6/12 with or without glasses. etc..
