    Hello
    ,
A MECHANICAL engineer can apply for UNIVERSITY ENTRY SCHEME if he wants to develop career in defence that too as a technical mind.

You can search about exact dates of the applications for applying at www.joinindianarmy.com and general information about the entry is described by me as under:

    UNIVERSITY ENTRY SCHEME:

    >You will be eligible to apply for this entry when you will be in your pre final year ie. third year.

    >You must have secured minimum average aggregate of 60%,at the time of applying.

    >you will be directly called for the SSB ,hence almost whole selection will be bassed on that only.

    >Hence you must start preparing for that now.

After that final merit list will be made and if you wiill be trained at INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY for 49 weeks and than will be commissioned as a CAPTAIN.

    good luck
