    Hey friend,

As told that you are a 3rd year Arts student you are eligble for applying for the CDS exam as per the education qualification needed for the CDS exam. The exam promotes candidates to join in defnce forces of India such as:

    >> Indian Army

    >> Indian Navy

    >> Indian Air Force

    >> Officer Training Academy

There is no specific percentage which is needed to be got in order to apply for the exam as per the education qualification but you need to have got a fair percentage in your respected degree.

With the education qualification you need to satisfy the other criteria's needed for the exam and they are that you need to be a citizen of India and you should be a unmarried male candidate. The age limit needed for the exam is 19-24 years of age.

The education qualification needed for the exam is that the candidate must have completed a degree in any discipline from a recognized university for joining in Indian Army and OTA.

In the case of joining in Indian Navy or Air Force you need to have completed a degree with Physics and Mathematics as subjects.

The most important criteria is that the caniddate must be physically fit while appearing for the exam.

If you are satisfying then all then you can either apply for the CDS I or CDS II exam which is conducted by UPSC and for info regarding it check at www.upsc.gov.in

Re: Which CDS exam to give CDS-I or CDS-II? Marks required in BA?

There is no specific percentage bar required for this examination . Minimum pass marks is enough to apply for this examination . If you are completed graduate degree with minimum pass marks then you are eligible to apply for this examination .

Both the CDS I and CDS II examination are same , there is no difference in this examination . You can apply any one of CDS examination . CDS I and CDS II that means it is conducted twice in a year by Union Public Service Commission . Mainly CDS examination is conducted by recruitment of IMA , NA , AFA , OTA .

To apply for these examination , you must have a completed your graduation with any discipline from a recognized University and there is no percentage bar required for this examination . Minimum qualifying marks is enough to appear for this examination and those who are appearing in the final year of degree course may also eligible to apply.

While appearing for NA(Naval Academy) and AFA (Air force Academy) , you must have a mathematics and physics as subjects at 12th level examination . If you are having then you are eligible to apply for all the entries in the CDS Examination .

Only Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for IMA , NA , AFA and both the male / female candidates are eligible for OTA Examination .

So , if you are completed BA degree then you can definitely eligible to apply for CDS Examination and don't worry about the aggregate marks .

Friend, CDS Examination is generally conducted two times in a year namely CDS I and CDS II. A graduated candidate is eligible to appear in both CDS Examination. And minimum percentage marks required for CDS Examination in aggregates is 60 percent. If you want to apply for airforce academy or naval academy, then it mandatory that physics and mathematics must be included in subjects in intermediate.

    hello

You can apply for CDS if your age limit is within 19 to 25 years of age provided you have a valid degree from recognized college and you have taken up Maths and science at your 10 2 level

Now your question part of CDS1 or CDS2 CDS is exam conducted twice a year by UPSC , so they are named CDS1 and CDS2 both the exam are same in exam pattern but training date differs which is mentioned along with notification.

Regarding eligibility marks there is no cut off mark for CDS.

There is no restriction based on marks. You have to be a graduate to be eligible for CDS.As you are from Arts stream, you will be eligible for IMA and OTA as they are for ARMY.For Airforce and Navy you need to have Physics and Maths at 12th or in graduation respectively. The eligibility for IMA and OTA is Graduation from any stream and age limit 19-24yrs for IMA and 19-25yrs for OTA.There is no speific CDS exam as both are equivalent.CDS I will give you a earlier joining and CDS II will have later joining as the exams are conducted in that order only. Both are same you can appear for both there is no difference. All the best

Re: Which CDS exam to give CDS-I or CDS-II? Marks required in BA?

    Hello

CDSE is just another entry in defence. It is such that it allows entry in all three wings.
    Qualifications-army-graduation from any stream(IMA,OTA)
Qualifications-air force-graduation from any stream with physics and maths in 10+2(AFA)
    Qualifications-navy-graduation from B.SC(Physics and maths)(NA)

CDSE have no percentage requirement, conducted by UPSC.
Two times in a year,in the month of May and December.

As CDSE is conducted twice in a year,it is named as CDSE(I) and CDSE(II).

Hence there is no difference between CDSE(I) and CDSE(II).
If no difference, then there is no sense in applying for any one special. All are same.

You will get notifications released in the website of UPSC
    www.upsc.gov.in

Also a old notification of CDSE is uploaded for your reference.
