There is a little chance that you will clear the medical exam.
Medical exam is to know that how medically fit you are.In case you have tooth decay,it may be considered as your negative point.

May be that you clear the exam because if you acquire all eligibility criteria ,then it may be that they will avoid your tooth decay.

    Hello friend,
The tooth decay is due to cavity or due to swelling of gums which is curable.
As i am also recommended.so with my experience tooth decay is not a problem. You are fit unless you hav somme type of gap between
your teeth or some different shapes of teeth are there.
So don't worry you are fit.
    All the best

    Hi friend,

After the written test, SSB , the candidate have to appear physical fitness test round.

If you can fulfill all the criterias related to this, you must be selected.

So, the dental decay is not a measure problem.

If any doubt, then visit the official website of upsc.

    dear
there isn't any problem at all if u r suffering from teeth decay..
u must have 14 dental points if u r having 32 teeth then u must have 22 dental points.
and u must not be suffering from severe pyorrhea.

    all the best.

    my friend,
it doesn't matter that you have tooth decay....
if you have small infection .then you can apply for exams...

    other thing is:
my suggestion is to go to dental specialist...then after sometime you will get through your infection..
    then apply for any exams...

There should not be any problem for tooth decay. It is curable and will not hamper your progress in the medical tests. You need not bother much about tooth decay. The dental points are given as 22 dental point for 32 teeth and not as someone here asked by adding number of tteths. The minimum needed is 14 dental point to qualify which is governed by their medical tests

Friend, for defence forces, high degree of fitness is required. I think decay in tooth in not a matter of concern. If you have full dental formula and not suffering from pyrohoeaa, then there is no any matter of concern. You are required to have full dental points. If you have any decay in tooth, it may be due to gingivitis or swelling in gums which is totally curable. In this regard, you have to consult any well known dentist for proper treatment or root canal treatment.
