    Date of UPSC exam for SSC Officer in Army or Navy or Air Force? Pattern and syllabus of the exam?

    Sir,I am a final year b-tech completed student from EEE stream this year.Please tell me about the exam dates of UPSC exam so that i can appear for the SSC officer test in either Army or Navy or Air force. And please also let me know about the Exam pattern and syllabus? How can i become a SSC officer?

    Hello,
    The full form of U.P.S.C is Union Public service Commission. Under the U.P.S.C, there are many exam which are to be held in one or every year such as:

    (i) Combined Medical Service
    (ii) Combined Defense Service
    (iii) National Defense Academy
    (iv) Engineering Services Examination
    (v) Civil Service
    (vi) Indian Forest Service
    (vii) Central Police Force


    (i) Combined Medical Service : This type of exam held by U.P.S.C generally in every year in the month of January.

    >> Educational Qualification : You should have M.B.B.S degree and also eligible if you are in final year.
    >> Age : Your age should be not more than 32 years.

    (ii) Combined Defense Service : This type of exam will held by U.P.S.C generally in every year twice. This exam will held in the month of February and September. It has three types which are :
    a). I.M.A /O.T.A b). Naval Academy c). Air Force Academy

    >> Educational Qualification : You should have graduate OR equivalent in any stream for I.M.A / O.T.A. , degree in engineering for naval academy and graduation degree
    with math and physics in 10+2 having in Air Force Academy.

    >> Age : Your age should be 19 to 24 for I.M.A /O.T.A. , 19 to 22 years for naval academy and 19 to 23 years for air force academy.

    (iii) National Defense Academy : This type of exam will held by U.P.S.C generally in every year twice. This exam will held in the month of April and August. It has three types which are :
    a). Army Wings b). Naval Academy c). Air Force Academy

    >> Educational Qualification : You should have passed or equivalent in 10+2 from any stream for army wings and should have passed or equivalent in 10+2 with math
    and physics with no percentage bar for air force and naval academy.

    >> Age : Your age should be between 16.5 to 19 years.

    (iv) Engineering Services Examination : This type of exam will held by U.P.S.C generally in every year and generally in the month of May.

    >> Educational Qualification : You should have graduate in engineering from recognized university or M.Sc degree with wireless communication,Electronics,Radio Physics as a special subject.
    >> Age : Your age should be between 21 to 30 years.

    (v) Civil Service : This type of exam held by U.P.S.C generally in every year in the month of June.

    >> Educational Qualification : You should have graduation degree and also eligible if you are in final year.
    >> Age : Your age should be not more than 30 years.

    (vi) Indian Forest Service : This type of exam held by U.P.S.C generally in every year in the month of July.

    >> Educational Qualification : A Bachelor's degree with at least one of the subjects namely, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology,
    Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a degree in Agriculture or Forestry or Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent.
    >> Age : Your age should be between 21 to 30 years.

    (vii) Central Police Force : This type of exam held by U.P.S.C generally in every year in the month of October.

    >> Educational Qualification : You should have graduation degree and also eligible if you are in final year.
    >> Age : Your age should be not more than 25 years.

    Dear Friend,

    In order to become a SSC Officer you can apply for following entries.

    For ARMY:


    1. CDS(Combined Defence Services): OTA(Officer Training Academy)
    *age limit: 19-25yrs.
    *should be a graduate.
    *conducted twice in a year.
    *can be applied when in final year of ur engg. using http://upsconline.nic.in.


    2. SSC-T(Short Service Commission Technical):
    *age limit: 20-27yrs.
    *should be an engineering student.
    *conducted twice in a year.
    *can be applied when in final year of ur engg. or after passing out using http://joinindianarmy.nic.in/.
    *SSC-T 40 Men forms out now. Last date 31/08/2012.



    For AIR FORCE:


    1. AFACT(Air Force Common Admission Test):
    *conducted twice in a year.
    *should be a graduate(engineer in case of technical branch).
    *can be applied when in final year of ur engg. or after passing out using http://careerairforce.nic.in/
    *Here u can apply 4 all branches:
    i)Flying(age limit:19-23yrs)
    ii)Technical(age limit:19-28yrs)
    iii)Ground Duty((age limit:19-23yrs)


    For NAVY:

    1. Various Branches(Technical, Non-Technical, Education, Flying, Executive):
    *should be a graduate.
