CDS Stands for Combined Defence Service Academy Examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year as namely CDS I and CDS II.This year CDS I (2012) notification was already announced and information about notification 2012 was available in official website or employment news papers.

CDS examination is conducted for recruitment of the following defences services :-

>>Indian Military Academy
>>Indian Naval Academy
>>Indian Air force Academy
>>Officer Training Academy(SSC-Men)
>>Officer Training Academy(SSC-Women)

Nationality :-

Candidate must be citizen of India or a subject of Bhutan,a Subject of Nepal.....etc to apply for CDS examination.

Martial Status :-

Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for Military,Naval,Air force,Officer Training(SSC-Men) and Unmarried female or divorce candidates are eligible to apply for Officer Training Academy(SSC-Women).

Age criteria's :-

-The age limits for this examination is 19 years to 24 years for joining in Indian Military Academy examination.
-The age limits for this examination is 19 years to 22 years for joining in Indian Naval Academy examination.
-The age limits for this examination is 19 years to 23 years for joining in Indian Air force Academy examination.

Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 100/- either by remitting the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.

Combined Defense Services Examination :

• This is also called as CDS exam and this is conducted by the UPSC govt. and this conducted twice a year and the requiring for the posts like;. Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Naval Academy and Air Force Academy.

Information about Combined Defence Service Examination

The combined Defence Service offer great opportunities related to career for fresher candidates who want to complete target for selection in Defence service.This examination conducted twice time in a year for admission in Indian Armed Force,Indian Navy and Air Force.

After selection in Defence examination you are eligible to join Permanent commission officer post and Cadet Officer in Indian Army.The age limit criteria for CDS examination are following as :
