For people like you Indian Defense services has job of dental officers,although your rank will be of officers as in Indian Army.
How you can apply:The advertisement comes in 'employment news' paper.It usually comes in August Edition.So, lookout in the paper.
Eligibility : Age, should not be more than 45 years.You should have BDS with 55% in final year from a recognized university.
Procedure:You will go through a interview followed by a medical test after placed in the merit list.

AFMC is an institution for training of Armed Forces Personnel.if seats not filled by Armed forces personnel are allotted to para military offrs, Ex-SSC offrs and civilians.if you are a civilian and joining in AFMC then civilians has to sign a bond of Rs 5 lacs on joining the course.

Even you can apply for SSC of various armed forces like army,navy,airforce..

The notification of officer in armed force in medical side come in employement newspaper so have
a knowledge of it...

1.first u need to fill in the form of army college of dental sciences secunderabad(forms are available from feb)

2.you can take the address and tel no by searching acds on net on google

3.then give the entrance exam in april

4.if selected you will be sent a letter to join army college of dental sciences

5.after the completion of course you will be able to serve indian army as an dental specialist.

6.your designation will start from capt...maj...ltcol..and so on

Yes, there are vacancies for BDS students in Indian Army.
But the number of people they recruit they hire is very less.
Theres an all India cut-off marks for your BDS degree.
Once you fall into the category, you have to go through SSB.
After clearing that, you can join Army.

If you want to join army as officer then you can apply for CDS Exam :

CDS ( Combined Defense Services ) examination which is conducted by UPSC ( Union Public Service Commission ) twice in every year conducts the common entrance exam for the entry into CDS.
After cracking this exam you can join one of Indian Military Academy (I.M.A). If you want to join IMA then you have degree and your age must be 18 to 23 years.


If you want to join Army as Dentist , then the procedure is given below :

You can join in defence as dentist.But your post will be officer rank.

You have to go through an interview and there is no other written test

After successfully completing your BDS course you are eligible to apply for the Indian Army. There is lot of requirement of the BDS doctors and other type of doctors. As we all know that during the army recruitment selection the BDS doctors are checking the teeth of every soldier and there are lot of doctor’s team is present which are serving the every soldier. You can enter Army through 2 modes:


1. SSC(short service commission)


2. DPC(Direct Permanent Commission)


You must be aged below 30 Years for permanent commission and below 45 Years for SSC, you can apply for direct interview conducted by board of officers, Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS).
The selected Candidates are commissioned as direct captain in the Indian army. Short Service Commissioned Officer in ADC (Army Dental Corp) may opt for permanent commission after 2 Years of reckonable service provided they have not attained the age of 30 Years and 31 and 35 Years for post graduate diploma and degree holders respectively.

To get the job in defence you have to give CDS exam.CDS stands for "Combined Defence Services Examination". It is conducted twice a year by the UPSC.
If you satisfy the above mentioned conditions you can apply for the CDS exam.

Your age must be between 19 to 24 years.
Only unmarried graduates are eligible to sit for the exam.
Final year candidates can also apply for the CDS exam. There is no restriction of percentage in graduation to apply for CDS exam.

You must be an Indian.
You should be mentally and physically fit in all respect.
