    hello guest,
for entry into NDA you only require 12th class qualification with any stream for army.
for Entry via technical entry you require minimum aggregate of 80% in 12 class PCM.
there are 300 vacancies in NDA ENTRY and vacancies foe technical entry are 85.

Re: Difference between 10+2 TES scheme and NDA scheme? Rank given after training?

    Hello my friend ,
With reference to your question I would like to tell you that there are many similarities as well as difference between
the National Defence Academy ( NDA ) Examination as well as the Indian Army 10+2 technical entry scheme

(TES) Examination or Indian Navy 10+2 technical entry scheme (TES) Examination .

The first similarity is that , All the Above mentioned Examination are conducted for the 10+2 level Unmarried male candidates only .
The second similarity is that , through this Examination you can enter the Indian Defence Academy services .
That is , through the NDS Examination a male candidate can enter in any of the Indian Defence Academy
while through the Indian Army 10+2 technical entry scheme (TES) Examination a male candidate can enter
only in the IMA ( Indian Military Academy ) and through the Indian Navy 10+2 technical entry scheme (TES) Examination
a male candidate can enter only in the Indian Naval Academy .

Through the NDA Examination an unmarried male candidate can enter in the following academies -:
    1. Military Academy of NDA .
    2. Naval Academy of NDA .
    3. Air Force Academy of NDA .

All this Examination has the same age eligibility criteria for applying them , that is , a male candidate can
apply for all the above examination only if his age must be between 16 to 19 years .
The Selection procedure for entering the a Academy through all the above examination is same .
And after passing any of these Examination you will be called for the SSB rounds and after passing it you will be called for the Medical Rounds . And only after passing it you will enter the Academy in accordance to your performance .

Now the differences Between the NDA Examination and the 10+2 level TES Examination are many .
The NDA Examination is conducted by the UPSC Government twice a year as NDA - I and NDA - II Examination
while the Indian Army 10+2 technical entry scheme (TES) Examination is conducted by the Indian Army itself
but only once a year and the Indian Navy 10+2 technical entry scheme (TES) Examination is conducted
by the Indian Navy itself and only once a year .

The Educational Qualification for both this Examination is different and are as follows -:
    1. For the NDA Examinations -:
    a. If you have chosen to join the Army wing of National Defence Academy than you must be 12th Class pass or the 10+2 level Examination
pass of School Education from an recognised institution of India .
    b. If you have chosen to join Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme
at the Indian Naval Academy than you should be 12th Class pass or the 10+2 level Examination pass with Physics and Mathematics
subjects of School Education from an recognised institution of India .

    2. For the Indian Army 10+2 technical entry scheme (TES) Examination or Indian Navy 10+2 technical entry scheme (TES) Examination -:
You must have passed 12th class or 10+2 level examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects with a total 70% marks
from a recognised institution of India .

And So I conclude My writing By wishing you a very Good luck .

Re: Difference between 10+2 TES scheme and NDA scheme? Rank given after training?

    hello friend,
your question is quite interesting because its generally comes in the mind of students that after clearing both (TES and NDA) you are comissioned as lieutenant in Indian army than what is the difference.

The difference is in the selection procedure after completing your 12th you can apply for both NDA and TES but for
NDA you have to give a written exam on the basis of which you will be selected and than you are allowed to give SSB.

but in TES you are directly applying for SSB on the basis of your 12th marks than the shortlisted candidates are allowed to
    give SSB.
