There are both Technical Jobs and Non- technical jobs available in Indian Air force. Suppose , if you clear your SSB interview then you are asked to opt for following part of Indian Air force :-
---------> Technical Branch : deals with all type of Computer Administration and management . Also , hands on Machines
electronic equipment . Depending upon your Educational background.
---------> Flying Branch : mainly Pilots and Co- pilots . Also , deals with maintenance of aircrafts and jets.
---------> Ground Duty branch : deals with ground level jobs in the Indian Air force base stations.
If you opt for technical you are basically in the technical part of IAF and if you opt for other choices you are Non-Technical in IAF.

IAF encompasses armed branch as well as technical branch both.
In armed forces, one has to go through tests like CDS exam, SSC etc to get into fighting forces i.e in flying branch.
In technical branch, one has to go through EKT to get into ground duty related to handling of instruments.
It depends on your interest in which branch you are interested, you have ample of opportunities. The only thing you need to do is to harness it.

DES(Direct Entry Scheme) allows B.tech passed candidates to apply for this scheme.
Age should be inbetween 18-28 years

The candidate must have a finished Bachelors of degree in any stream from a recognized university or equivalent qualification OR the candidate must have a finished bachelor of engineering degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent qualification.The candidate age limits for this examination is 19 years and 24 years for joining in Indian Air force there is no relaxation for reserved categories.Candidate who are completed graduate degree OR appearing in the degree course can also apply for this examination.Now a days every one interested to join this examination and every year large number of candidates are applying for this examination.There is heavy competition in now a days.There is no minimum marks required for this examination.Pre-final year of degree course can not eligible to apply for this examination.
