    Eligibility criteria for engineers to apply for short term or long term service in Indian Army?

    i have just taken the exams of last semester(8) in computer science enginering.my result is awaited.my some subjects are not clear yet, can i apply for short term service or long term services in indian army I mean vat is the basically a criteria for enginers for applying in army services

    Hello friend,First clear all your backlogs then you are eligible for Indian army.
    You can join the Indian Army directly. So, you only need to attend the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview.
    Educational Qualification:-

    Those candidate are completed graduation are eligible for SSB exam but 12 standard subject must be Math and Physics.
    B-TECH ans BE student are also eligible for this exam .
    But you have not any Pending Backlog.

    Final Year student are also eligible for SSB exam.There is no percentage marks criteria.

    Age Limit:-
    Between 20-27 years at the time of joining.
    The course starts every year in the month of January and July.
    Advertisement of the application form published in March/April & Oct./Nov in employment newspaper.
    Physical Eligibility:-
    For Indian Army - A candidate should be physically and mentally fit.
    1. Eye Sight = 6/6,
    2. Height = 167 cm
    3. Weight: 50 Kg
    4. Chest: 77 cm (Normal) / 82 cm (Expanding)

    Procedure to Join Indian Army -
    you have to complete 5 stages to join in Indian army

    1. Written test,
    2. Physical tests,
    3. Medical tests,
    4. Group tests and
    5. Personal Interview.

    so, first clear all your pending back logs then apply for Indian army.
