    Eligibility to join flying branch of Air Force after engineering?

    Can i know am eligible to join the flying branch of air force after engineering??

    To Join Flying Branch of Indian Air force, then you have to cracked the AFCAT Entrance Examination. AFCAT stands for Air Force Common Admission Test and this examination is Conducted every year and those who are Interested to Join Indian Air Force May apply for AFCAT Examination.

    For this year AFCAT Examination was already declared and Published and the last date of apply for this examination was already over on 13/Jan/2012.

    Applications are invited from eligible Men and Women for Air Force Common Admission Test for the courses commencing in January 2013 for grant of Short Service Commission in Flying, Technical and Ground Duty Branches as well as University Entry Scheme.

    For Flying Branch, you have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks and you must have study maths and Physics as a compulsory Subjects in your 12th examination.

    :: Age Eligibility for Flying Branch : Your age should between 19 to 23 Years.

    Physical Requirements :

    :: You must be in good physical and mental health and free from any disease

    :: The minimum acceptable height for male candidates is 157.5 cms. (157 cms for Navy and 162.5 cms for Air Force).

    :: You should be able to read 6/6 in a distant vision chart with each eye with or without glasses (For Navy and Air Force without glasses only) Myopia should not be more than 3.5D and hypermetropia not more than 3.5D including Astigmatism.

    :: Distant Vision 6/6, in one eye and 6/9 Correctable to 6/6, Near Vision N-5 each eye, Colour Vision CP-1 (MLT).

    Hello!

    Nice to you Interest for Defence services. Sure...you can join flying branch of Indian Air Force after competing your Engineering course.

    -To join flying branch in Indian force toy have to appear in AFCAT(Air Force Common Entrance Test) conducted once in a year.

    -Various branch that you can join Through AFCAT is as follows-

    Flying Branch

    Ground Duty Branch

    Technical Branch



    Eligibility criteria to join flying branch of Indian Air force through AFCAT:

    ~You should have passed Graduation degree course in any specialization from recognized college/institute/university.

    ~You should have secured minimum of 60% marks in Graduation in aggregate.

    ~
    Your Age must be in between 19 to 23 years.

    ~You must be an Indian citizen.

    Yes why not you are eligible for NDA, Eligibility :

    Age should be between 16.5 to 18 years
    should be clear 12th with 60% from recognised college.

    hi,
    yes madical student is given NDA exam.
    NDA exam is connected by UPSC.
    It's two time recoqnise in one year:-1.NDA(1) and 2.NDA(2).
    The age limt in this exam required 16 1/2-19 years old.

    dear,
    you may join IAF flying branch after your engineering also through:

    CDS:
    graduation in any discipline having math and phy at +2 level,
    age limit is 19-23yrs.

    AFCAT:

    all the qualifications are same as CDS but it is SSC(short service commission) means one can serve for atmost 14yrs.

    Direct SSB:

    graduate in any discipline having minimum of 60% ,
    having math and phy at +2 level.
    ncc 'c' certificate in air wing senior division.
    age limit is 19-24yrs.

    these are the only three ways to get in flying branch after graduation ..
    all the mentioned entries forms are available twice in a yr .

    Hello,

    After engineering, you can appear for IAF flying branch through-

    CDSE that will grant you a permanent commission and followed by SSB for the successful candidates.
    SSC that will grant you a short service commission and there is no need to appear for written exam, it directly call a candidate for SSB.

    First day of SSB for flying branch usually starts with PABT and it is mandatory to clear it for becoming a pilot in IAF.
    You need to be in age period of 19-23 years

    You need to have physics and math as main subject in class 12.

    There are many ways through which a candidate can join the Indian air force for flying branch.First of all you must be a Indian citizen and must be unmarried.For flying branch you can join through three ways namely,

    CDS exam :
    You have to qualified your graduate degree or engineering of a recognized University or equivalent qualification and there is no minimum percentage required for this examination.There is no backlogs at the time of appearing for this examination.Age limits should be between 19 years and 23 years and Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply.You must have a Studied 12th examination with Physics and Mathematics in your examination.

    NCC Entry :
    To apply for this examination,you must have a NCC Air wings Senor Division C Certificate and then only you are eligible to apply for NCC Entry examination.You have to finished your graduate degree or engineering of a recognized University or equivalent qualification and the candidate must secure at least 60% aggregate marks in their examination.There is no backlogs at the time of appearing for this examination.Age limits should be between 19 years and 23 years and Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply.You must have a Studied 12th examination with Physics and Mathematics in your examination.

    Short Service Commission :
    You have to completed your bachelor's degree or engineering in any desire subject of a recognized University or equivalent qualification and the candidate must secure at least 60% aggregate marks in their examination.There is no backlogs at the time of appearing for this examination.Age limits should be between 19 years and 23 years and Unmarried male/female candidates are eligible to apply.You must have a Studied 12th examination with Physics and Mathematics in your examinationALL THE BEST
