    Eligibility for technical branch of Air Force through AFCAT?

    Hi,
    My aggregate of 4 years in engg is 58 % .But in my final year i have scored 65 % . I am a Pune University student. And in Pune University, we have just our final year marks on our B.E. degree.So am i eligible for the TECHNICAL branch(AEL) of Air Force through AFCAT.Please help.Do they actually ask for marks of all the subjects of 4 years put together?Or just final year(as in Pune University)

    Through the AFCAT exam ,you can join the following branches of air force-

    1.Technical branch

    2.flying branch

    3.Ground duty branch.



    The eligibilty for AFCAT exam to join the technical branch is given below-


    1.indian citizenship

    2.age between 18 to 28 years.

    3.unmarried if below 25 years of age

    4.both males and females can apply.

    5.A B.E/B.Tech degree in Aeronautical engineering.

    6.minimum 60% marks in engineering.

    AFCAT Eligibility :

    Graduates(three years) in any discipline from a recognized university with min of 60% marks in aggregate in all papers & have passed Maths & Physics at 10+2 level (OR)
    B.E/B.Tech from a recognized university with min of 60% marks in aggregate in all papers

    Age limit : 19 to 23 years

    Physical Stands :
    Height : 162.5 cms with correlated weight
    Vision : min visual acuity 6/6 in one eye & 6/9 in other
    correctable to 6/6 only for hypermetropia

    Firstly , you are eligible to appear for the AFCAT exam in Final year of engineering

    Remember , they will see only the total percentage in B.tech whether you have 60% or not , for Techical Branch
    But , they will not see whther you have secured 60% or more in each and every Semister

    So, no need to worry . You are having Goor percenatge in B.tech .
    So, you can apply for the AFCAT exam to join in Techical Branch


    AFCAT EXAM : -

    Airforce common admission test

    Generally , the exam includes 3 branches like ,

    1) Techical Branch
    2) Flying branch
    3) Ground duty branch


    As per your intrest towards Technnical Branch ,you can apply for the Technical Branch

    -)) Remember , for Technical Branch , your age should be between 18-28 years only
    -)) You should have a minimum of 60% in B.tech



    Exam Syllabus : -

    1) General Awareness - 25 Qesutions
    2) General English - 25 Quesiotns
    3) Numerical Ability - 25 Questions
    4) Military Aptitude & Reasoning - 25 Questions



    Each question Carries 3marks

    Exam duration is 2 hours

    Marks : - 300 Marks

    As you have asked for the information regarding the eligibility for Technical Branch,you need to satisfy certain criteira's and they are:

    Technical Branch:

    >> You need to be a citizen of India

    >> The age limit for the exam is that the candidate must have

    >> Candidate must have completed a degree inAeronautical Engineering with 60% aggregate.

    If you satisfy these criteria's thenyou can apply for the exam.
