    Friend,

The Indian Navy defence field very strict in respect to physical conditions. If you have any eye sight defects or not have eye sight requirement as said in the Notification then you will be rejected. The Indian defence Eye sight conditions are

    With Eye Glasses

The Aspirants have better eyesight – 6/6
The Aspirants worse eyesight – 6/6

The candidates must have these eligibility conditions. If you have any eye sight problem then do not apply for the Navy defence field. Apart from the this you must be physically fit

    Martial Status
    The candidates should be Single

    Education Qualification

Re: Having -2.5 power in one eye is problem for SSB interview of Navy?

Sorry to say but you will be disqualified in the medical test because you can't fulfill the vision criteria which is required .

The vision criteria is below :

For better eye sight - 6/6
For worse eye sight - 6/9

Candidate wearing the glasses are not eligible .

As you have -2.5 which is more higher than the permissible so you can't enter into the navy just because of your eye vision power which is low .

Not only in navy but also in air force these eye vision power is not allowed .

So go for the another sector besides defense .

    good luck...

No you will not be eligible. Do not confuse with the 6/6 and 6/9 criteria. It is the vision standard of reading and that is permitted with or without glasses.
For myopia the standards are different. For Navy the maximum allowed myopia is -0.75D, For Army -2.5D and for Airforce - Nil.
Your power is more than that allowed by Navy so you will not be eligible. You can check in the notification about it.You may go for SSB but they will reject you.
And other people please do not confuse any aspirant with this 6/6 thing. You are misleading the candidate
