Re: How to become a Flying Officer in Air force?

See , to become a Flying officer in Airforce , your Qualification is not Enough . You have to complete Graduation for that . After graduation only , you will have maximum chances to become a FLYING OFFICER in Airforce .

Generally , with 12th a as qualification , you can join in Airforce , but you will not become an Flying officer .

Actually , after 12th , you can join in Airforce through NDA exam .

Rather joining in Airforce now , it would be better to you to go for Graduation .

Remember , you should complete your Graduation from any Recognised university .

If you go for B.tech , then it is also better one . You should complete your B.tech from any College or University which was approved by the AICTE .

After Graduation ,you can apply for the AFCAT exam

AFCAT - Airforce common admission Test

The AFCAT will have 3 different branches. Those are ,

    ~ Technical Branch

    ~ Flying branch

    ~ Ground duty branch

For Flying branch , age limit is 19-23 years

    It includes ,

    >> Transports

    >> Helicopters

    >> Fighters

    All the best

Re: How to become a Flying Officer in Air force?

Only If you have 60% marks in 12th Physics and maths that you will be eligible for Flying Branch or else you can sit for the AFCAT Exams after your graduation if you are from Non-Science background but then too you must score at least 60% in your graduation to be eligible for the AFCAT exams .

Non-Science students are eligible only for the Ground duty or Administration and logistics branch in the Indian Air Force. Although you may not be a Pilot you will still be a Flying officer after your commissioning even if you join the branches other than the Flying branch.
