    Nice to see your Interest in Civil services examination to become IAS Officer in Future.

    IAS Stands for Indian Administrative Service and To become IAS Officer, Please apply for UPSC Civil services Examination. Civil services examination is Conducted by UPSC Every year in two Stages : preliminary Examination and Main Examination.

    Firstly, You have to cracked the Preliminary Examination and this examination is also called Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT). This examination is Objective and there are Two papers in CSAT Examination and Both are of same marks and Duration, Preliminary examination is Compulsory for all the Candidates and Those who cracked the Preliminary examination are eligible to appear for Main examination, Main examination is Descriptive and you have to choose the subjects in Main examination on the Basis of Graduation.

    Qualification Required :
    • You have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline form a recognised University.
    • Final year Graduate candidates are also apply for this examination
    • Your age should between 21 to 30 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.
    • No, Minimum percentage is Required to apply for CSAT Examination.
    Dates and Notification :

    The Notification of Civil services Examination, Will be Published in the employment Newspaper or in the UPSC Website in the Month of February.

    If you have completed your Graduation, then please fill the CSAT Application form Online in Next Year.

    The Notification will be Published on 04/Feb/2012, and the last date of apply for this examination Online 05/March/2012.

    Preliminary Examination Date : 20/May/2012

    Main Examination Date : 05/Oct/2012.

    So, After completing Graduate degree course, You are eligible to apply for UPSC CSAT 2012 Examination. If your aim is to become IAS Officer, then please prepare well for CSAT Examination Because this is the First step, If you cracked this, Then you are appear for Main examination and Final Interview.     Information regarding IPS Officer :
    IPS stands for Indian Polic Service and To become IPS officer you need to clear Union Public Service Examination.It is conducted every years and it is two step examination are following as :

    >>> Preliminary Examination : This examination consist of general studies paper and optional subject paper so,that you required to choose any one paper according to interest.Preliminary examination is purely objective type .If you clear this examination then you are eligible for Mains examination.

    >>> Mains Examination : The mode of Mains examination will be completely descriptive.Main examination consist essay paper and language paper.

    Academics qualification :

    1) You required to complete Bachelor degree if you want to appear in the IPS( Indian Polic Service) examination.

    2) You must be citizen of India because in only Indian nationality candidates are allow to appear in IPS examination.

    3) You age limit should be in between 21 to 30 years and 5 years special relaxation for ST and SC caste categories candidates.

    4) In this examination degree is important but no minimum percentage criteria.That is the beneficial for weak students.

    I.P.S stands for Indian Police Service examination and the examination was conducted Once in a year by Union Public Service Commission.

    The examination can be divided into three stages :-
    • Preliminary Examination.
    • Main Examination.
    • Personal Interview.
    First you have to crack the preliminary examination,the examination consist of two papers in preliminary examination and Both papers are objective type.Those who are cleared the preliminary examination,the candidate are called for the Main examination.Main examination can be divided into nine papers and there is one optional paper also.

    Eligibility Criteria for I.P.S :-
    • Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent qualification.
    • Those in the final year of degree course can also eligible to apply for this examination.
    • Candidate age should have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years.
    • Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen categories.
    • No percentage bar required for this examination.
    • Any stream like B.Sc,B.C.A,B.B.A,B.Com,B.E.B.B.M.............etc.
    The notification was announced in the month of February in the official website of UPSC or employment newspaper/newspaper.

    Eligibility Criteria:The following are the Eligibility criteria details to Become a IPS Officer.
    1.Age limits: You should have completed 21 years on first august applying the That year.The maximum age limit is 30 years for general Students and 33 years for OBC candidates and 35 years for CS/ST candidates.
    2.Physical Standards:
    Height: The height of male candidates is 165 cms and height for female candidates is 150 cms
    Chest: The chest for Males is 84 cms and expanshion is 5 cms
    the chest for female candidates is 79 cms and expanshion is 5 cms
    Eye Sight: The eye sight for IPS Exam is 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye.
    6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye.
    Exam Pattern: There is a two exams are there.
    1.Preliminary Examination: It is objective type
    2.Main Examination:It includes written Examination and personal Interview
    Qualifications: The following are The Qualifications to become a IPS Officer.

    -) The candidate's candidate's age should be between 21-30 years , if the candidate is belong to General categoty

    -) The candidate's age should be between 21-33 years , if the candidate is belong to OBC Category

    You can appear for the National Defense Academy (NDA) exam and then join the Air Force Wing
    Eligibility Criteria for NDA :-

    to become an ips officer you have to give the civil services exam which is conducted by upsc once in a year,

    eligibility:-

    1. you must be graduate or final year appeared.
    2. must be the citizen of india.
    3. you age must be in between 21-35 years.
    4. you have only 4 attempts if you are in general-
    - 7 attempts if belonging from obc
    - no age limit for sc/st.
