AFCAT is a 2 hours multiple choice test with 100 questions which carries 300 marks. Four options are given for each questions and the candidate have to choose the right answer. Each correct answer carries 3 marks and one mark is reduced for each incorrect answer. The test is to analyze the candidates’ knowledge in General Awareness, English Language, Numerical and Verbal Ability.After qualifying for AFCAT exam the candidate have to attend an AFSB interview. The qualifying candidates have to attend for various tests according to the course they applied for. The candidates for the Flying Branch have to appear for a PABT (Pilot Aptitude Battery Test). The candidates who apply for the Technical Branch have to attend for the EKT (Engineering Knowledge Test). The candidates who clear the test will get the opportunity to work in IAF.
Syllabus of the AFCAT Entrance Exams The written test includes questions for evaluating the candidates’ basic knowledge in the areas of General Awareness, English knowledge, Numerical Ability, Military Aptitude etc. The four sections in the written test are given below.
