Re: How could I join Indian Army being Mechanical Engineer?

    Yes my friend ,
Since you are doing your graduation in B.tech you can apply for the cadre post in the Indian Army .
This is because the Engineering graduates are given more preference in the Indian Defence services than
    any other graduates .

You can join the Indian Army cadre post if you apply for the University Entry Scheme ( UES ) Examination .
this Examination is conducted by the Indian Army and only for the Unmarried male Engineering graduates .
if you are a male candidate than yoiu can apply for this Examination .
Through these you enter the Indian Military Academy ( IMA ) and there you are given a
course of three years and after completing that course you are given the post of cadre in the Indian Army .

But Before applying this examination you must fulfill some eligibility criteria for the UES Examination .
The eligibility criteria for applying the University entry Scheme ( UES ) Engineers .

    (i) Your age must be between 19 to 25 years if you are in the Final Year or Your age must be between 18 to 24 years
if you are in the for PreFinal Year and should have been born between 2nd July to 1st July for July Course in
correspondence to the date of applying the UES examination .
(ii) You must be in Final and PreFinal year students of Engineering Degree Course .
(iii) You must be an Unmarried Indian male candidate .

So you can apply for the UES Examination only when you are in the final year or pre-final year of your graduation .
This Examination is conducted by the Indian Army itself and only for the male candidates .
They conduct the UES Examination once each year .
So if you are eligible to apply this examination than apply these examination as son as possible .

But if you are female Engineering candidate than you must apply for the ENGINEERING ENTRY ( Short Service commissional Technical ) Examination which is a part of Indian Army special entry scheme Examination .
This examination is too conducted by the Indian Army authority and they conduct these examination
    once each a year .
The Eligibility criteria for applying the ENGINEERING ENTRY ( Short Service commissional Technical ) Examination are -:
    1. You should be unmarried Indian female citizen .
    2. Your age should be between 20 and 27 years in corresponding to that month of the year on which the course is due to commence .

So thank you for asking my friend .
