    How to get into Air Force after pursuing B.Tech in Biotechnology?

    how can i get into airforce? I`m perusing my b.tech(4/4) in biotechnology.

    My friend,you can't get into airforce by pursueing B.tech in biotechnology.You have try CDS exam for it.so keep preparing.

    Hello,

    You can surely be a part of IAF in its various branches by giving various exams such as-

    1) CDS examination-permanent commission

    2) Common enterance test

    3) AFCAT

    4) Short service commission.

    However, you cannot be a part in technical branch as biotechnology does not come under it. Each test is followed by SSB interview, a 5 day long procedure, consisting of screening and psychological testing.

    3.UniversityEntry Scheme (UES) :-

    >> The candidates having degree of engineering and scored at least 60%marks can apply through this entry scheme for the Indian Air force.

    >> The candidates who have appeared in the final year exam are alsoeligible to apply for the above entry scheme.

    TechnicalBranch- After you have completed your engineering, youcan join the Technical Branch through the Direct Entry Scheme.you can go intechnical branch through UES i.e University entry scheme

    AGELIMIT:-

    The candidates applying for the above entry scheme should have age between 18to 27 years.

    So you can apply for the Indian Air force as an officer through the above entryscheme after the completion of your engineering.

    • National Defence Academy
    • Combined Defence Examination
    • NCC Entry Exam
    • AFCAT Examination
    You are not eligible to apply for N.D.A examination.Because you are already crossed the age limits.So you can't appear for this examination.

    If you are interested in Air force and then apply for C.D.S examination,this examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission twice in a year and candidates are recruitment for Air force,Military,Naval and Officer Training Academy.This year examination was already over...........and the next notification was already updated in the official website.Online registration was already started,last date for receipt of application is 28/11/11 and the examination will be held on 12/02/12.

    Eligibility Criteria for this examination :-

    The candidate have to completed graduation from a recognized University or equivalent qualification with physics and mathematics at 12t level examination and those in the final year of degree course can also apply for this examination.The candidate age should between 19 years and 23 years and there is no upper age limits for the reserved categories.So,if you are interested apply for this examination.

    NCC Entry Scheme :-

    The candidate must have passed bachelor's with 60% from a recognized University or equivalent qualification with physics and mathematics at 12t level examination OR B.E/B.Tech with 60% from a recognized University and those in the final year of degree course can also apply for this examination.The candidate age should between 19 years and 23 years and there is no upper age limits for the reserved categories.So,if you are interested apply for this examination.The candidate must have a NCC Senior division C Certification to appear for this examination.

    AFCAT Examination :-

    This examination is divided into three branches :-

    >>>>Flying Branch

    >>>>Ground Duty Branch

    Ground Duty Branch :-


    The candidate must have to passed bachelor's degree in any desire subject from a recognized university Or post graduate degree from a recognized university and the the candidate candidate must secure at least 60% marks in their examination.The candidate age should between 20 years and 23 years at the time of appearing for this examination.This examination consist of various post.So,the age limits differ from post to post.

    Dear friend,

    If you want your carrer related to what you have studied then definetely should not find it in Air force.

    As Jobs in Air force in technical department is mainly for Aeronautical , Mechanical and Electronics engineers.

    However you can apply for Flying and Ground Duty Branches.

    Flying Branch:

    There are various ways to apply in flying department,such as:

    1.AFCAT
    2.CDS
    3.SSC(PILOT)

    All the 3 schemes requires common educational and age criteria as:
    -->>You should be a graduate with physics and maths at 12th level or B.tech
    -->>Age limit is 19-23 years

    2.Ground Duty Branches

    For ground Duty Branches such as:
    Administrative
    Logistics
    Metereology
    You can apply through AFCAT exam
    -->>Age limit is 20-23 years for Graduates.

    Dear friend,to get into Air Force after pursuing B.Tech in Biotechnology you have to give any air force entrance exams. You are eligible to give the following entrance exams to apply for Indian air force:1. Direct entry scheme.2. Combined defence service exam.3. Service selection board.

    Dear candidate, to get into Air Force after pursuing B.Tech in Biotechnology you have to give give cds exam. The exam cds is held by upsc every year two times. Your age for this cds exam should be from 19 to 23 years if you wish to apply for air force. The website of upsc will help you more: www.upsc.gov.in

    air force contain two main division.they are=

    1)officer

    2)air men

    you can enter into air force field by the following ways,

    1)CDS EXAM

    2)AFCAT( air force common admission test)

    3)PABT( special test for air force pilot

    4)candidate with NCC certificate with minimum 'c' grade can have direct entry.

    the only thing you need is your confident,positive thinking,hard working nature,knowledge,should reach eligibility criteria.

    CDS exam is already released.so apply for that as you have limited time

    Last date for receipt of form: 28.11.2011

    CDS Entrance Test Date: 12.02.2012

    AIR MAN=

    qualification=a)x group= age limit=17-22 years. join in technical trade who had passes 12th or 3 years diploma coarse in engineering

    b)y group=age limit=17-22 years(except musicians)=12th passed

    age limit=17-25years(for musicians)=10th passes or 12th passes.

    Dear friend,for Indian Air Force,you should give CDS exam or NDA.For CDSE ,your age should be from 19-25 years.Your qualifications should be graduate.

    Yes you are eligible to join in Indian Air force after completion of B.Tech biotechnology.
    Selection Procedure: The following are the selection procedure
    1.Written Examination
    2.Personal Interview
    3.Medical/Physical Examination
    .So first you should have to give or write a write An entrance examination of CDS(Combined defence service) Examination.This examination is Conducted by UPSC two times in a year.The age limit for this examination is 19-24 years and 5 years age relaxation for sc/st candidates and 3 years age relaxation for OBC Candidates..
    The last date for applying this examination is 28-11-2011
    Date of commencement of examination is :12-02-2012
    Syllabus for this exam is General English,General Knowledge and Elementary Maths

    Yes , You can applicable for AIR FORCE exam through CDSE , UES , NCC SPECIAL ENTRY exam.

    COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE EXAM(CDSE)

    This Exam is conducted by SSB.

    Those candidate are completed graduation are eligible for CDSE exam but 12 standard subject must be Math and Physics.

    B-TECH ans BE student are also eligible for this exam .But you have not any Pending Backlog.

    Final Year student are also eligible for CDSE exam.There is no percentage marks criteria.

    The age criteria for CDSE exam is given below.

    Indian Military Academy - 19-24 Years
    Air Force Academy - 19-23 Years
    Naval Academy - 19-22 Years
    Officer's Training Academy - 19-25 Years

    UNIVERSITY ENTRY SCHEME ( UES)

    This exam is conducted by UPSC.

    The candidate must be currently studying in Pre-final year of BE / B Tech degree course in the relevant streams of engineering as mentioned above and must have secured minimum of 60% marks in aggregate . But you have not any Pending Backlog.

    Your age should be in between 18 to 28 years.

    NCC SPECIAL ENTRY EXAM

    Those candidate have completed graduation degree with above 50% marks are eligible for SSC exam.you must have citizenship of India.

    Your age should be in between 19 to 25 years .

    The criteria of NCC C Certificate holders to appear directly for SSB for Short Service Course (Non Technical).
