    How to get permanent commission in after short service commission in Defence services?

    sir,
    i have done B.Architecture, after that i have joined defence service and working in construction cadre only. i am short service commission officer and after completion of this service want to get permanent commission. please guide me how can i?

    once you join the indian army as a short service office you serve the army for ten years after with your reports and performance is viewed by a panel of officers to decide whether or not you are fit to continue with the armed forces
    to be able to continue you should make sure of the following :-
    1)good course grades AI/I
    2)ACR should be outstanding
    and just do well otherwise and you'll be short listed for continuing with indian army .

    Sir,

    After the completion of the SSC(Short Service Commission), maximum of officers are retained as PC(Permanent Commissioned) officers. The particular Indian Defence Force considering the spent tenure of their officer generally gives them a chance to be with them, as there is a shortage of officers in these forces.
    So, you will definitely be given PC unless you haven't done anything too big to drag yourself in negative limelight.
