    How to Join Defence after B.Tech?

    Respected sir;
    I m student of B.Tech studying in final year. I want to join Defence after graduation. Then how to join?

    A B.tech graduate can join indian defence by CDSE entry or Technical entries. To join indian defence through CDSE you have to be between 19 to 24 years & for technical entry you should be between 19-25 years. There are two type of services available; Permanent & Short Service.     There are many ways to join defence for example
    1.you can join indian airforce by applying for an entrance conducted by indian air force i.e. AFCAT which is conducted twice a year for further details you can log on to www.careerairforce.nic.in

    2.In the same way you can apply in indian navy the official web site is www.nausena-bharati.nic.in

    3.In the same way you can apply in indian army the official web site is www.joinindianarmy.nic.in

    After the completion of b.tech degree from the recognized University you can do CDS of UPSC for the purpose of

    joining in defence job.A graduate is eligible to write CDS ARMY/CDS Navy/CDS Air force to join in respective field.

    CDS(combined defence service)entrance exam is conducted by UPSC 2 times in a year.

    Eligibility:

    1. any graduate or a final year candidate from the recognized University can write UPSC CDS exam.

    2.The age of the candidate is variable CDS exam to exam. CDS Army 19-24 years, CDS NAVY:19-22 years

    CDS Air Force 19-23 years, IMA !9-24 years OTA: 19-25 years.

    3.Candidate must be the citizen of India

    4.Candidates must be unmarried.

    5.Male/Female both can write CDS exam.

    Candidates to clear respective CDS exam's written/physical/medical tests to attend for SSB interview.

    Being a Mechanical Engineering Student i am happy to inform you that are eligible to apply for
    CDS ( Combined Defence Services ). One can apply for it after You complete Your Graduation. Or when you are waiting for the results.

    Info About CDS :-

    CDS Stands For Combined Defence Services, CDS exams are conducted twice a year by UPSC ( union Public Service commission).
    The Notification for the examination is usually released in the months of October and June whereas the examinations are conducted in February and November respectively.

    There is an internal choice in between 4 Defence lines in Combined Defence Services.

    Air Force Academy
    Naval Academy
    Officers training Academy
    Indian Military Academy

    Requirements to Join CDS :-

    Age Limit for Various Academy's is :-

    Indian Military Academy 19-24 years
    Air Force Academy 19-23 years
    Naval Academy 19-22 years
    Officers’ Training Academy 19-25 years (not before 2 June)





    2:- Must have completed Graduation with physics and Maths.

    3:- Must be un-Married.

    Also You can appear for Various other Exams like
    AFCAT ( Air Force Common Admission Test). The Requirement will stay same as CDS for AFCAT.

    branches in b.tech:

    electronics

    telecommunication

    electrical

    electrical communication

    electronics and communication

    instrumentation

    computer science engineering

    percentage in b.tech:

    60% or above

    time for recruitment notice:

    2 times in a year

    firstly,you have to registrate in army/airforce/navy forms for officier entry which is online procedure.After that you might be called up by them and follow their procedure.

    Hello

    After completing graduation there are various ways to join defence,you can apply for those exams even you are in the third final; year of your degree.There are three wings of defence 1)Army 2)Air Force 3)Navy.

    As you have a engineering degree you have more opportunities than any other degree,a technical degree is always prefered first and a engineering is at top rank when it comes to ranking degree in technical form.

    The most common entry is CDSE(Combined Defence Service Examination)-It allows entry in all three wings
    in air force,army and navy al together.

    There are four academy for which you can apply
    IMA(Indian Military Academy)- a entry in army,OTA(Officers Training Academy)- a entry in army,AFA(Air Force Academy)-a entry in air force,NA(Naval Academy)- a entry in navy.

    Other than these there are specific entry scheme for specific wings.
    Air Force-there is AFCAT(Air Force Common Admission Test).
    Army-TGC(Technical Graduate Course)

    In navy there are specific schemes.

    You better visit the website of all three wings of defence
    www.careerairforce.nic.in-air force website.
    www.,nausena-bharti.nic.in-navy website.
    www,joinindianarmy.nic.in-army website.

    Old notification of TGC,AFCAT,CDSE are being uploaded,study them carefully to get better ideas.

    Hi Sir....

    Yes you can join Defense stream.
    You need to Give CDS(Combined Defense Service) Exam conducted by UPSC.
    As already CDS-1 notifications are closed you can apply for CDS-2 exam.

    Dates of CDS exam:-
    Date of Notifications starts:-25th May 2013
    Last date of online application:-24th June 2013
    Date of Exam:-08th Sep 2013.

    Along with Educational qualifications you need to be unmarried male,
    Physical and Mental fitness should be good.

    Age standards:-
    19-22 for navy
    19-23 for Air Force
    19-24 for Army.

    You can either join via UES (University Entry Scheme), which has to applied in the pre-final year or via CDSE (Combined Defense Services Exam)! All the best and enjoy..!!

    Friend,

    As you are the B.tech Graduate then you need not to worry you have the good scope in the India Defence field.

    You can Join the Indian defence by the CDSE exam. After the B.tech you are eligible for the CDSE exam If you clear the exam then you will be eligible for the Different fields in the Indian defence

    ** Indian Naval Academy , Ezhimla
    **Air force Academy , Hyderabad
    ** Indian Military Academy , Dehradun

    Education Qualification

    IMA - The Aspirants have to complete in the any of the stream rom the recognized college

    Indian Naval Academy - Degree in the Engineering or B.Tech from the recognized college or University

    Air force Academy - You have to complete degree in the Engineering or B.tech from the recognized college and also you have to Hold Physics and Mathematics In the Intermediate level

    The candidates who will clear the written exam then such candidates will be selected for the SSb Interview . It si the five days procedure

    The candidates called by the ‘ call Letter’

    ** Screening test
    ** Psychological test
    ** GTO – Group Testing Officers
    ** Interview

    Examination Fee
    It is about the 200 / - you can submit the deposit the fee in the SBI by cash


    NOTE : At the time of the SSB Interview the Accommodation and messing are free for the five days of the Interview

    There are several ways to join in Defence services after B.tech . There are different posts and different Entry schemes Which you can apply even in your Final year of B.tech .

    1) You can apply for the TGC Scheme to join Army in Technical branch
    TGC - Technical General Course
    Age shouldbe in between 20-27 years only
    You shouldhave secured 60% or above in B.tech
    You can apply for the TGC Scheme only after compltion of B.tech not now.



    2) You can also apply for the CDS exam to join in Defence services .

    For ARMY , Age limit is 19-24 years
    For AIRFORCE , Age limit is 19-23 years
    For NAVY , Age limit is 19-22 years
    You shouldbe a citizen of india
    you shouldbe an Unmarried candidate


    The cds exam will helds by UPSC OF INDIA , 2 Times in every year



    Selection process is ,

    ~ written exam

    ~ ssb interview

    ~ medical test




    Exam Syllabus is ,

    ~ general knowledge

    ~ general english

    3) You can also apply for the UES scheme

    The best way to join Defence after B.Tech is through CDS exam.

    CDS is conducted twice in a year by UPSC.

    Criteria to apply for CDS-

    1- You must be graduate from a recognised board.

    2- Your age must be in between 19 to 22 years for Navy.
    19 to 23 years for Air Force.
    19 to 24 years for Army.

    3- You must be citizen of India.

    Hello friend,

    Being a Graduate , you can join Indian Defense Service through CDS (Combined Defense Service) examination.

    CDS examination was conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

    For the above CDS examination,

    You should pass your Graduation from any recognized University.

    The Age limit for this exam should be between 16.5-19 years.

    You should be a citizen of India.

    Martial status should be Single.

    Both Male/Female candidates can apply.

    Should be Physically fit.

    For applying CDS examination, you have to apply only through online by visiting the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in , http://www.upsc.gov.in

    after B.tech you have to apply for UPSC CDS exam for the post in Defence Services.

    CDS exam is conducted for following wings:
    >>INA
    >>IAF
    >>IMA
    >>OTA

    Eligibility Criteria for CDS:


    Educational qualification
    for INA and Air force: B.Sc or Engineering degree
    for OTA and IMA: graduation with any subjects
    Age Limit:
    for INA: 19 years to 22 years
    for IAF: 19 years to 23 years
    for IMA: 19 years to 24 years
    for OTA: 19 years to 25 years
