    How to join Indian Air Force? Procedure to be followed?

    How can I join Indian Air Force ( Caption )? What is the procedure to be followed? now i studding Th Marathi medium so please tell me procedure and how can i prepare it from now? give me guidance please

    Hello,

    You have not given the entire information about your educational background. Whether you are in 12 or in graduation. For getting into IAF, you need to have math with science in 12 class.

    If you are in 12, you can be a part by giving NDA exam followed by SSB

    If you are in graduation, You can be a part of IAF through CDS examination, SSC, AFCAT and CET.

    You can Join Indian Air Force By Appearing these Entrance Examination, But before apply for these examinations, you have to fulfill the Eligiblity Criteria because the Eligiblity Criteria are vary form Exams to Exams. These are the examination to enter into Indian Air Force :
    • NDA (National Defence Academy)
    • CDS (Combined Defence Academy)
    • AFCAT (Ground Duty Branch, Technical Branch and Flying Branch).
    For NDA, the Minimum eligibility is Intermediate, Means you have to complete your Intermediate examination First and then you are eligible to apply for NDA Examination.

    NDA Stands for National Defence Academy and this examination is Conducted by UPSC, Twice in a year. But to apply for this examination you have to Attained the age of 16.5 Years and Not have attained the age of 19 Years. The Notification will be declared twice and you can apply for NDA Examination many times between the age of 16.5 to 19 Years, No upper age relaxation is applicable for any candidates. If you have complete your 12th examination with Maths and Physics as a compulsory subjects, then you are eligible to apply for NDA Examination.

    If you have graduate candidate, then you have another option to join Indian Air Force by CDSE Examination. CDSE Stands for Combined Defence Services examination, this examination is Conducted by UPSC Twice in a year and To apply for this examination you have to be a graduate. This examination is Conducted for the Recruitment of Army, Navy, Air Force and OTA Academy. For Air Force Academy, you have to complete your Graduate degree course in Engineering OR B.sc With Maths and Physics as a compulsory Subjects. To apply for Air force Academy, your age should between 19 to 23 years. If you are Interested then please fill the application form Soon before the Last Date, the Online Registration process was already started. The last of fill the Online application is 28/Nov/2011.

    You have also apply for AFCAT Examination, AFCAT Stands for Air Force Common Admission Test.

    AFCAT Eligibility for Flying Branches :

    Academic Qualification:

    You must have complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline with minimum 60% marks in aggregate and have passed Maths and Physics at 12th level OR B.Tech degree with minimum 60% marks in aggregate.

    Age: Your age should between 19-23 Yrs.

    AFCAT Eligibility for Technical Branch:

    You must have complete your Graduate degree course in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) with Minimum 60% Marks.

    And To apply for this Branch your age should between 18 to 28 years.

    Procedure is different for different applicants in Air force.Indian Air force offers large number of jobs according to vacancies.
    As you have not mentioned your qualification the query is incomplete.I m providing you the basic procedure to enter into Air force.

    10+2 Qualified
    NDA(National Defence Academy) exam is the option for you after 12th standard
    Eligibility:
    You must be a citizen of India.
    You should have passed 12th with Physics and maths compulsory for Air force.
    Your age should be in between 16.5 years to 19 years.

    Graduate
    CDS (Combined Defence Service) is the exam for candidates who have completed gradaution
    Eligibility:
    You should be a graduate with physics and maths compulsory studied at 12th level
    Age limits is 19-22 years

    Engineer Graduate
    Engineer at 2 level i.e Final year and B.tech completed students have individual schemes for them:
    UES(University Entry Scheme) for those who are in final year and have secured 60% marks in previous semester
    Age limit is 18-28 years

    DES(Direct Entry Scheme) For those who have completed B.tech with 60% Marks.
    Age limit is 18-28 years.

    Hello Dear,
    If you are 12th then you can go for NDA exams conducted by UPSC.
    If you are a graduate you can appear in CDS conducted by UPSC.
    UPSC conducts a written test twice a year in April & August (NDA) and April & September (CDSE). Advertisements for the examinations are released about six months in advance.

    Qualification for CDS and others- graduation

    Eligibility criteria
    Must be a citizen of India.
    Marital status must be unmarried.
    you should not have any disease.
