    How to prepare for General Study and Antonym-Synonyms of OTA?

    I have applied for cds1 which is to be held on feb. and this time i want to qualify for OTA (Chennai) at any cost so how to make preparations for general study and how to make myself prepared for antonym-synonyms questions in english paper?

    Friend, well planned preparation is required to crack CDS Examination. General Studies and antonyms & synonyms are important and crucial part of question paper. Kindly follow following points to perform well in General Studies and Antonyms & Synonyms := For General Studies, refer Lucent's General Knowledge= For General Studies, also refer Arihant's General Knowledge= Refer NCERT books of 8th standard to 12th standard for solidify the elementary & basic concepts.= Daily read any national level newspaper to get yourself updated with national & international events.= Also keep watching news on news channels daily.= To perform well in antonyms & synonyms, refer Arihant's Objective English= For better preparation in antonyms & synonyms, there are lot of books available especially on antonyms & synonyms in the local market.     Antonym and synonym is big factor for every exam . Only not for OTA it comes in NDA, CDS , IAS, PCS , IPS , SSC , RAILWAYS , BANK and other types of exams but students ignore it because it is very difficult to learn . I also want to learn antonym and synonyms vocabs but I also face difficulty . Only one solution for learn vocabulary is read regularly english news paper and english books . If you have any problem in meaning of any word then you tick and after you search meaning in dictionary . It's very powerfull assesment . It works 80% . So if you want to learn then you do same . You must get success. Best of luck,
