Yes you can join army through cds / nda exam.. Both exams are conducted by upsc twice in a year....

For cds exam:---
-- age limit 19-27 years
-- graduate or equivalent with 60% of mark
-- physically strong
-- free from disease...
-- eye sight-6/6
-- you must not color blind
-- height- 157.6 cms
