Hello sir,
I am doing final year BE Biomedical Engineering. I am very much interested in joining DRDO. I need to know about the entrance exam. I would like to work in Research and Development department. Can you please direct me how to enter into the DRDO?

DRDO means is a agency of the republic of india, Responsible for the development of technology for use by the military, headquartered in New Delhi.

In DRDO has a network of 52 laboratories .

To enter into DRDO must be Graduate and age should be minimum of 28 years .

And entry procedure is Selected by direct interview.

DRDO - Defence Research and Development Organisation

DRDO is working in various areas of military technology which include aeronautics, armaments, combat vehicles, electronics, instrumentation engineering systems, missiles, materials, naval systems, advanced computing, simulation and life sciences.

For joining in this you need to write the DRDO Exam and for which you must satisfy the eligibility criteria.

>> You must be a citizen of India.

>> The candidate must have a age limit of:

For SC/ST - 5 years.

For OBC -3 years
For Physically Handicapped candidates - 5 years (SC/ST- 10 years ,OBC - 8 years).

>> The education qualification for the exam is that candidate must have passed at least in first class in B.E/B.Tech in fields like ECE, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering from a recognized university with at least have 60% marks or 6.75 CGPA.

If you satisfy these criteria's then you are eligible for the DRDO Exam.

For DRDO Only engineering graduates are eligible in the fields of Computer science,Electronics and communication,Electrical,Mechanical,Chemical with first class marks.

Hi ,
DRDO Stands for Defence Research and Development Organisation, And only Engineering Candidates are eligible to apply for DRDO Examination. So, to apply for DRDO examination You have to complete your Bachelor degree with minimum 60% Marks from a recognised university in Engineering or Technology in Electronics & Communication Engg / Mechanical Engg / Computer Science & Engg/ Chemical Engg/ Electrical Engineering.

And If You have failed to scored minimum 60% Marks, then he was not eligible to apply for DRDO Examination. So, If you have scored minimum 60% marks in your engineering examination then you are eligible to apply for the DRDO SET Examination and the examination will have 3 Hour duration and the questions in this examination was totally objective type. So, If you are Interested to apply for DRDO Examination then your age should not more than 28 Years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST and OBC Candidates, for SC/ST candidates will gets 5 years relaxation, for OBC candidates gets 3 years And for Physically Handicapped candidates there are 5 years relaxation is applicable.



DRDO exam mainly based on 2 stages.
1.written test
2.interview

DRDO SET written test is 3 hrs long with 2 sections:

Section A:Subject knowledge
Section B:Aptitude for applied research and development

DRDO SET has total 150 questions for 500 marks.
DRDO SET has negative marking.-1 mark for each section A answer,while 1/2 for each wrong section B answer.
