Nice to see your Interest in Indian Air force and you can join Indian Air force by many ways through NDA Examination, CDS Examination, Air force common admission test and NCC Entry. If you have completed your Intermediate examination then you are eligible to apply for the NDA Examination, this examination is conducted by UPSC, twice in a year and you have to study Maths and Physics as a compulsory subjects in your Intermediate examination, Only unmarried male candidates between the age of 16.5 to 19 years are eligible for NDA Examination. Those who cracked the NDA Examination are given preliminary training both academic and physical for a period of 3 years at the National Defence Academy which is an Inter-Service Institution. The training during the first two and half years is common to the cadets of three wings.
On passing out you will be awarded B.Sc./B.Sc. (Computer)/BA. degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi.
You can also apply for the CDS Examination to Join Indian Air force, if you have completed your Graduation from a recognised University and you must have study Maths and Physics as a compulsory subjects in your Intermediate examination. CDS Examination is also conducted twice in a year and your age should between 19 to 23 years.
If you have scored more than 60% marks in your Graduation then you can Join Flying Branch, Technical Branch and Ground duty Branch of Indian Air force through AFCAT Examination.
You have to be Medically and Physically fit in all the respects to apply for this examination. Physical fitness is one of the most important criteria for joining the Air Force. Your chest should be well developed. The minimum range of expansion after full inspiration should be 5 cm. There should be no disease of bones and joints of the body.

For Flying Branch , you must have a compulsory passed your graduate degree with physics and mathematics at 12th examination and have attained the 60% aggregate marks in their examination OR Engineering candidates may also eligible .
For Ground Duty , you must have a completed your graduate degree or post graduate degree from a recognized University .
