Re: Information about Naval Engineering and its future?

    Hi
nowadays indian navy had become a secure career specially for engineers as short service commission(ssc),technical branch officers, electrical branch.
    As navy has 4 division-1)education
    2)executive
    3)engineering
    4)electrical
though all these have specific functions but among these engineering and electrical has very important role.
In this the person can perform with minimum 10yrs or it can be extended to 14 yrs based on the interest of the individual.
So the selected candidate are called for the selective service board (ssb)interview which is carried out in 5 days..
In these 5 days the candidate would gone through officer rating intelligence test(oir),
picture perception and discussions test(pdpt),physical fitness test.
After all this the candidate are appointed for the training.

Its a good choice to join in defense.

    Good luck

    thank you

hi..naval engineering deals with designing vessels and building them ,this field is one of the most upcoming fields in the country because of India's growing might in the field of ship building , India is one of the few countries in the world which is capable of building its own ships and attach carriers and that there reason for the demand of naval engineers ,and the reason why the Indian navy is deploying so many of them is that most of the ship building is don by the Indian navy in India.but the private sector is catching up fats and if your son does a job for around ten years in the Indian navy and then takes and voluntary retirement then he can be an hot cake in the industry out sdie and hence the future for your son is very bright if he opts for this field
