A fighter pilot is one, who touches the height where eagles dare to go. You need to have that same passion, dedication, determination and courage.

    >> You need to be physically as well as mentally strong. Above all you should have confidence and a positive attitude to get the things done in a best way.

    >> As far as preparation is considered, PABT (Pilot Aptitude Battery test) is taken of a candidate during SSB to check out his quality to be a fighter pilot.

    >> It is a one time test, a failed candidate can never sit for it and never appear for any entry to flying. So you need to make yourself good in this.

    >> For this, you need to have an analytical skill to read different types of meter asked during PABT like altimeter etc ,then you have given some plane pics and you need to tell their direction and at end you have to play some games to check your reaction ability.

    >> But you need not to be worry, all these things are taught there first before taking PABT exam.

    >> However joining a coaching institute and books like arihant will give you an idea initially only before appearing to PABT.

You can certainly apply for the defense sector after completion of B.E. There are different modes of entry in to the three defense wings. You can apply for the CDS exam which is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year. You can also apply for the SSC entry. There is the technical graduate scheme which you can also opt for after engineering.
