    Joining IAF in flying branch being a female candidate?

    Respected Sir

    I had done my graduation in bca and now pursuing mca. I want to be in flying branch. I am 21 now. Please do suggest me for the same

    Dear

    You can appear for the CDS exam or PABT exam to join in the army. If you are below 23 years you can appear for this exam. To appear this exam you must be the citizen of India and unmarried person. You have to complete your course from a recognized university.

    Yes as a Girl Candidate along with The Graduation you are Eligible to Join in Indian Air force in Flying Branch.So if You want Join in Indian Air force in Flying Branch You Should be appear The AFCAT Exam.

    AFCAT Exam Means Air force Common Admission Test.This Exam Includes Three Branches.
    1) Technical Branch
    2) Ground Duty Branch.
    3) Flying Branch.
    Technical Branch:- For Technical Branch all Males and Females are Eligible and Should be Done Graduation from The Any Discipline University with the 60% Marks and Age Should be between 18-28 Years.

    For Flying Branch Also All Males and Females are Eligible And Should be Done Graduation from The Any Discipline University with 60% Marks and age Should be between 19-23 Years.

    For Ground Duty Branch also All Males and Females are Eligible and Should be Done Graduation from The Discipline University From The Any Discipline University and age Should be between 20-25 Years.

    Nice to see that you are interested to Join Indian Air force, but girls only eligible to apply for the Air force common admission test(AFCAT) after graduation, only if they scored minimum 60% marks in your Graduation. As a Graduate/Engineer, you enter the Flying branch through the Air Force Academy. The following are the three modes of entry for Graduates/ Engineers to join the Flying branch namely,

    => CDSE (COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAMINATION)
    => NCC SPECIAL ENTRY
    => SSC (SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION ) ENTRY( FOR MEN AND WOMEN)

    You are only apply for the SSC (SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION ) through AFCAT Examination. You can apply through AFCAT for Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Flying Branch. But for this you have to study Maths and Physics as a compulsory subjects in your Intermediate examination, Only then it is possible for you to Join Flying Branch of Indian Air force.

    For this your age should between 19 to 23 years.

    It means you have to complete your graduation and attained minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level OR BE / B Tech (Four Year Course) from a recognised university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together.

    The Notification of AFCAT Examination is published twice in a year in employment newspaper or in official website in June and December ever year.

    Eligible candidates may fill the application form online also from the official website of IAF.

    HELLO ASPIRANT

    There is only one entry for girls to join indian air force as pilot.This entry is AFCAT which stands for air force common admission test.It was started in 2011 to select candidates for various branches in air force such as:

    1.TECHNICAL BRANCH
    2.FLYING BRANCH
    3.GROUND DUTY STAFF

    The best about this entry is girls can also apply for flying branch.It is normally conducted by air force board two times in a year.The exam will be commence in february and august every year.The notifications for AFCAT exam will be published on their websites in dec and june.

    You have to apply for the exam either online or offline but i would suggest you to go for online which is fast and secure way.You have to fill the form online and upload your latest photograph through scanner.There is no application FEE to apply for AFCAT exam.

    The admit card will available on the website after 25 days of exam commencement.You can download your card from the website after login to your account.The age limit for flying entry is 19-23 years and candidate should have degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

    Final year students can also apply for AFCAT exams.Only indian and un married candidates can apply for AFCAT exam.They should have good physical and mental fitness to join any armed forces.The eye vision should be 6/6 because it plays a crucial role in selecting PILOT.

    You are eligible for the flying branch if you are having Physics & Maths in the 10+2 whatever be the stream of graduation which you are pursuing.
    If you fulfill this criteria then you are eligible for the flying branch. You have to give the AFCAT(Air Force Common Admission Test) exam Which includes-

    EDUCATIONAL CRITERIA:
    Flying Branch:
    Graduates in any discipline from a recognised University who have attained minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed Maths and Physics at 10+2 level OR BE/ B Tech degree from a recognised University with minimum 60% marks in aggregate

    AGE LIMIT:

    Flying Branch: Minimum 19 years; Maximum 23 years

    As soon as you clear the AFCAT exam
    Candidates selected after stage II will undergo branch specific test based on their eligibility/ choice of branches
    • Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT) for flying branch

    Mam , You are Eligible to apply for the cadre post in the flying branch of the Indian Air force
    at present .
    And you can apply for it on the basis of your BCA graduation and need not complete
    you Post graduate ( MCA ) graduation .

    But to apply for the cadre post in the Indian Air Force you have to apply for the
    AFCAT ( Indian Air Force Common Admission Test ) .
    This Examination is conducted for all the graduate candidates of India .
    And you can be either married or unmarried Indian female candidate to apply for the Flying posts of the Indian Air force .

    The AFCAT examination is conducted each year and you can apply for it in the year 2013 .
    This Examination is conducted by the Indian Air Force and through this Examination
    you can apply for any of the branch of the Indian Air force , namely -:

    1) Technical branch
    2) Flying branch
    3) Ground duty branch

    But in order to apply for the flying branch of the Indian Air force you have to be aged between 19 to 23 years .
    And the physical Criterion's required for the Flying branch of the Indian Air Force are as follows -:

    Your Minimum height should be 162.5 cms with healthy weight .
    The length of your legs in a stretch should be Minimum 99 cms and Maximum 120 cms . Your Thigh length should not cross 64cms .
    While sitting your height should fall as Minimum 81.5 cms and Maximum 96 cms .
    The vision of your eyes should almost be perfect 6/6 and 6/9 of either eyes .

    Dear friend,
    You can apply for airforce
    As you are a graduate you can apply for CDS
    CDS exam is conducted by UPSC twice a year
    The eligibility criteria for CDS is
    -qualification graduate
    -age limit is 19-24 years
    -nationality Indian
    -minimum height for girls is 152 cms
    -unmarried
    -physically and medically fit
    You have to clear the written exam first
    Then you will be called for SSB interview followed by medical board
    Then you will be given training at the airforce academy to become an airforce officer

    Well you can join in Indian Airforce through CDS exam.CDS stands for Combined Defence Service.It is one of the defence service exam conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Comission) for the graduates.This exam is conducted for the following wings1. Indian Army2. Navy3. Airforce and4. OTA (Officer Training Academy)The following are the eligible criteria for you to write this exam»» You must be a graduate.»» You must be an Indian»» Both male and female candidates are eligible»» Your age must lie between 19 - 23 years (Airforce)»» You must not wear specs ....
