    Also, please do give detailed information about good reference books to pass these exams as well as the interview.

    For joining the Flying Branch, which exam should be given?

    If I am to choose between these two exams(CDSE and AFCAT), then which one I should give?

    PS - Can I give both AFCAT and CDSE exam in the same year?

    Re: For joining the Technical Branch of the Air Force, am I supposed to give the CDSE examination or the Air Force Common Admission Test?

    Actually , both exams are the ways to join AIRFORCE (TECHNICAL) branch

    ** When compared to CDS EXAM , AFCAT is good for the Techncial branch

    ** Please rememeber , if you are ot having 60% in your b.tech , then you are not eliglible for the TECHNCIAL BRANCH for the AIRFORCE EXAM

    Nevertheless , you can apply for the CDS EXAM
    Because , for the CDS EXAM , the candidates who have passed graduation are eligible for the exam

    ** The AFCAT exam includes 3 branches

    1) TECHNICAL BRANCH

    -->> you should have 60% in your b.tech to apply for this branch

    2) Ground duty branch

    -->> you should have 60% in your b.tech to apply for this branch

    3) Flying branch

    ** The exam syllabus is ,

    1) General awareness - 25 queations
    2) General english - 25 questions
    3) Numerical ability - 25 questions
    4) Military Aptitude & Reasoning - 25 questions

    ~~~~ Each question carries 3 marks
    all the best
    Hey friend,
    Good to see your interest in joining in Technical Branch in Air Force for serving the country in defence.As asked on what exam to be opted for joining in IAF from CDS or AFCAT Exam
    It is better that you attempt for the AFCAT Exam as it offers you to join in Technical Branch in Air Force and there are criteria's which are to be satisfied in order to apply for the exam and they include such as:
    >> Nationality
    >> Age Limit
    >> Education Qualification
    For Technical Branch:
    >> The candidate appearing for the exam must be a citizen of India.
    >> The age limit needed for the branch is that you need to have 18-28 years.
    >> Education qualification needed is that you need to have completed Aeronautical Engineering with at least 60% aggregate from a recognized university.
    But as said that you are a B.tech Comp Science student you cannot apply for the exam as you are not satisfying the education qualification needed for applying for the
    exam
    Neither you can apply for the CDS exam as you will satisfy the needed education qualification but as said that you are a Girl you are not satisfying the Martial status needed for the exam as only unmarried male candidate is eligible for applying for the exam
    Hello
    Indian Air Force.
    1)Flying Branch.
    Mode Of Entry-National Defense Academy,Combined Defense Service Examination,Air Force Common Admission Test.
    2)Technical Branch.
    Mode Of Entry-Air Force Common Admission Test.
    3)Ground Duty Branch.
    Mode Of Entry-Air Force Common Admission Test.
    Girls are allowed to apply for all three branches.
    But for technical branch,the entry mode is Air Force Common Admission Test with minimum 60% Graduation.
    But girls only have Short Service Commission in Indian Air Force.
    A service of maximum of 14 years in Indian Air Force
