    Information about Date of EKT examination: EKT stands for Engineering Knowledge Test and it is common Test conducted for testing basic Engineering knowledge of candidates who want to join Aeronautical Engineering field.Engineering Knowledge Test is divided into two parts are following as :

    1) General Engineering

    2) Specialist Paper for Engineering

    General Engineering paper consist part "A" AND total 40 questions will be there but in case of Specialist Paper there are total 35 questions will be there and you have to solve this questions within one hour.

    For Engineering Knowledge Test only Final years candidates are eligible and for two parts technical stream candidates are apply having Aeronautical engineering (Mechanical) and Aeronautical engineering ( Electronics).

    The pattern of Question paper will be only objective type and you have to solve all questions within duration of one hour.It is necessary to pass or cut-off in both sections for AFSB interview.

    EKT examination is conducted for admission or entry in Indian Air Force department and you should have at least 60% marks in previous qualification and minimum age should be in between 18 to 28 years .

    Your minimum height should be 157.5 cms in case of male candidates and 152 cms. in case of female candidates.The last date of EKT examination dates and date of examination details are following as :

    Important dates of EKT examination :

    1) Notification for Engineering Knowledge Test :
    First week of August,2012

    2) Last date for submission of Application forms : End month of August,2012

    3) Date of EKT examination : Last week of October,2012

    If you clear Written examination (EKT) round then you will be short listed for Psychological Test ,Group Test and Interview test.This are the stages you have to perform then you are eligible for Training in Indian Air Force.

    After completing training of six month you are eligible for Officer post in Indian Air Force.The syllabus for EKT general engineering section are following as :

    >>> General Mathematics

    >>> Chemistry

    >>> Computer

    >>> Electronics Engineering

    >>> Mechanical Engineering

    But in case of Specialist PART-"B" paper you have to prepare for separate papers like Electronics and Communication,Mechanical engineering and syllabus will be different for all engineering field candidates that's why it is known as Specialist section.

    Air force Common Admission test is conducted twice in a year. This examination is conducted by the Indian Air force. Since you are in pre final year of engineering so you are eligible to apply for the technical branch.

    Important dates of EKT examination :

    Eligibility for AFCAT and EKT exam:-

    For technical branch:-

    1.you must have complete the B.tech/BE course with 60% aggregate..

    2.you age should be in between 18-28 years..

    For Flying branch:-

    1.you must have complete graduation in any trade but must have complete the 12th with physics and maths..

    2.you ndidates age should be in between 19-23 years..

    For Ground duty branch:-

    1.you must have complete the graduation in any trade with 60% aggregate.

    2.The age should be in between 19-25 years..

    To appear in any of these exam candidate have to complete the graduation or must be in final year of graduation..

    So, you can appear in these exams when you will be in final year..
