    well my friend
for a student of your caliber its never too difficult to clear that exam.
so this is how you prepare.
1.be through with the mathematics from class 6th on-wards conceptually!
2.start reading newspaper from now itself daily.
3.also study your social studies from 5th to 10th properly keeping a track of important personalities, years , important incidents.
4.study geography comprising of earth, ecosphers, important rivers , their origins and tributaries, various hilly areas and mountain ranges , heights of important peaks etc.
with at least this amount you will clear your written exam with ease and even with a good score.

    now coming to SSB part.
once you clear your written and when a merit list is drawn of written part 3:1 ratio of candidates wil be called for interview.
i think you might not be familiar with ratios so explaining that par if there is 1 vacancy 3 students will be called for SSb of for 40 vacancies there will be 120 students ...and so on.

SSB is a 3 stage process comprising of psychologist test, group test and conference.
also a PABT ie; pilot aptitude battery test if you apply for air force.
you are now too young to understand more about SSB so i suggest you go through about the written preparation 1st.
then when you are in your 11th ending do get back to me for complete info on SSB and the preparation for the same .
i shall be more than glad to oblige.

Re: Is NDA written exam difficult? What is the qualifying marks and how the SSB is conducted?

NDA exam is not hard..its just that you should be good at mathematics and your general knowledge should be good because it consists of two exams :
    part1:general abilities test of 600marks
    part2:maths of 300 marks
both are of 2.5 hrs each.
If you clear NDA written, then you are called for SSB,below is a brief of how SSB is conducted:
    Its of 5 days,
1st day:Screening test which includes a short story writing based on a picture showed and then a group discussion. If you fail that then you'll be sent home the same day otherwise you'll be there for next 4 more days.
2nd day:Psychological tests including word association test ,situation reaction test, picture perception test are concluded.
3rd day nd 4th day:GTO tasks i.e group tasks like snake race, individual obstacles, individual tasks, group palnning exercise and final group tasks are performed.
5th day: interview and conferencing is done
On basis of above all tests, indiavidual is rated and selected
If recommened, medical tests are conducted which goes on for2-3 more days and if you are medical fit, then you are sent to NDA for required training and education....
    thank you......

NDA exam is not very difficult and specially for a student like you the written exam should be a cakewalk if you maintain your focus...........
but you will have to wait for some time because you are in 10th and to appear for NDA you must have paased/appearing 12th class......
the eligibility for nda exam is
    age limit 16.5 to 19
    unmarried indian male
    passed/appearing 12th from a recognised board.......
as far as the cutoff is concerned it is not fixed and varies according to the performance of candidates and difficulty level of paper.
however based on the past trends and personal experiences(of having cleared it everytime i appeared) i can definately tell you that if you manage to get anything above 350 you should qualify the written exam but i would suggest you not to aim for bare minimum. aim as high as possible because written score carries a weightage of 50% in final merit after recommendation from ssb.........
as far as syllabus is concerned, it is basic maths of 10th, 11th and 12th level and general ability test consists of 50 english 50 science and 50 social science questions....
for detailed analysis of syllabus please visit http://www.nda.testbag.com/exam-anal...l=NDA-Syllabus........
best of luck for your future
