Re: Can I join defence service as a Dentist after passing BDS with 55%?

    Hi ,

You are eligible to join dentist in defence after passing BDS with 55%. Because to apply this post you should have minimum of 55% marks in BDS.

But as you have cleared the exam in 2nd attempt ,It will badly affect on your merit at the time of interview. The precedence will be given to student who have passed the BDS in one attempt.

You have to go through an interview and there is no other written test. So interview will decide your merit.

You can join in defence as dentist and your post will be officer rank. I will suggest you to go for MDS and then apply for this post. So your resume will be stronger in interview.

    Eligibility:

    Age Limit :

Your age must be less than 35 years.

    Educational Qualifications :

You must be a BDS with a minimum of 55% marks in the final year OR a candidate must be an MDS from a recognized university.

You must have completed one year internship recognized by dental council of India.

You must also have a permanent dental registration certificate.
