Re: Percentage required for admission in B.Tech at Navy? Can girl get admission in Indian Navy for B.Tech?

As your question clearly says that you are a passout of class 12th so there is no option for you to get into the navy as to enter into the navy after class 12th NDA examination is requiredto be given for selection into the naval academy. As you are a girl then it will be impossible to apply for the national defence academy as girls are not eligible to apply for the same. And it is clearly mentioned in the NDA notification that male are eligible for the same.So if you like to join indian navy then you need to complete the graduation (btech) from a recognised university and then apply for the CDS examination. Or you can also apply for the UES university entry scheme during the prefinal year of the engineering as this comes into the scheme. And there is also a option that you will not gonna give any entrance exam for the same as you will be directly called for the SSB interview through the UES.If you failed to apply or clear the UES then you have the option for the CDS examination.CDS is an combined defence services examination that is conducted every year twice.you can apply for the following academies by the same.OTA officers training academy- 19 to 25 years of age is required.IMA indian millitary academy- 19 to 24 years of age is required for the same. Both of these can be applied by the graduate in any discipline.INA indian naval academy- 19 to 22 years of age is required to apply for this.AFA air force academy- 19 to 23 years of age is required to apply for this examination. These academies are only applied by the graduate in engineering or physics and maths.Selection procedure for the same is as follows.-first will be the written test.-second will be the SSB interview.-finally you will be send for the medical examination.for more details log on to www.upsc.gov.in thank you.
