    Dear Aspirant

Definitely you can crack CDS exam. You can plan the journey to the destination well if you know the start point. You need to understand your strengths and weaknesses for test preparation, like you can be strong in Mathematics, average in Physics and totally clueless in Chemistry. This is important because then you will create your plan to turn your weaknesses into strengths and ignore certain weaknesses if they are not important from exam point of view and improve your strengths.

If you have enough time for the exam, pick a chapter you are weak in and one that is important from the exam standpoint. Give priority to important chapters if you have not revised them or not practiced enough questions on them.

Don't forget that only learning chapters will not take you anywhere, it is questions that you need to answer in the final exam. So practice, practice and practice till you are perfect at the chapter and then move ahead.

    Good Luck...

    Greeting Sir,

I'll surely help you with some Maths tactics.
For an exam like CDS, Maths section is not that tough.
    R S Aggrawal is a good book.
    Practice its units.
Even just reading its short cut methods and formulas will do.
    Read its examples.
There are many books having past year papers of CDS.
    Practice those questions.
Generally the questions are not very calculative.
Concentrate on questions relationg to Simple Interest, CP, SP, etc

    Best Of Luck
    Have a good day!!!

Re: Practical tips to crack CDS exam maths paper?

first you should plan your schedule according to your daily routine and give as much time as possible to your study according to the syllabus of cds and also you caan solve the papers of previous years ,it will help you to understand the methodology of the paper,

always complete your basics ,because mathematics is not like the subject of reading ,

do remember that a good student is one who is not learning all the things ,but the things he learn ,he is master in it .

so don't pressurize and work hard because there is no any shortcut of success.
