    Dear sir,
    You can appear in next year AFCAT, when you will be in final year.
    It is conducted twice in a year and there is nothing like "You can appear only once."
    You can appear in as many times as you want provided you fall in the age category as mentioned for being eligible for the entry.
    the exam consists of english, general knowledge(current affairs), numerical ability and reasoning/aptitude questions.

    Being in pre-final year, you can appear for UES (university entry scheme) (The entry for indian navy for UES can be checked at nausena-bharti.nic.in)

    Hello

    PRE FINAL YEAR CANDIDATES ARE NOT APPLICABLE FOR AFCAT.

    Final year students are eligible,but not pre-final year candidates.
    There is no limitation in the number of attempt that one can make for AFCAT,as long it satisfies the eligibility conditions.

    Hence you wait for the final year to come.
    For more details visit the website of air force

    Also a old notification of AFCAT have been uploaded for your reference.

    One can not apply in pre final year for AFCAT..You need to be atleast in final year to apply for AFCAT and then also you should be in a position to submit your original or provisional degree certificate and final marksheet at the time of Interview.As AFCAT is conducted twice do not get confused about being in final year means you can apply both the time.You will not be having the degree when you will be in 7th sem as that is one time when AFCAT is conducted alongwith another at next year.
    There is no limit for appearing in AFCAT.You can apply as long as the age limit permits you.As you are in Engineering,you can apply for Technical Branch of AFCAT and the age limit for that is 28years maximum.
    For Flying Branch the age limit is 23years maximum but if you qualify in Flying Branch and then fail in PABT Pilot Aptitude Battery Test,you will not be given another attempt to apply for Flying Branch.

    you cannot appear for afcat exam this year bro,because yoy need to be graduate or in final year of graduation to be eligible to apply for afcat........
    so wait till the next year......and one more thing there is nothing like that you can attempt exam only once.......
    you can appear for it as many times as you want till your age falls within the limits.......
    the age limit for afcat is
    for flying branch 19-23
    for ground duty 19-23
    for technical posts 18-28
    so just chill and wait till next year

    You should have secured minimum of 60% in B.tech
    You shouldbe a Citizen of India

    It includes ,

    * Helicopters
    * Transports

    For the Ground duty branch , Age limit is 20-23 years.

    It inlcudes ,
    * Administration
    * Logistics
