if you want to be in flying branch NDA is the best but as you are wanting to be on the tech side do an engineering graduation in electronics/mechanical streams.

    Sincerely speaking my friend ,
You are a little bit confused on your career front . Because you are unable to make the choice of
what you need to do in the near future .

So I'm here to give you all the help I can give you .
First , After completing your 10+2 level graduation you can apply for the cadre post in the Indian Air Force
through the National defence Academy Examinations .
This is because you can apply for the technical post in the Indian Air Force through the National defence Academy .
This is because if you get selected in the Air Force wing of NDA , there you will given an
degree course for the three years . and through that degree course you can enter the technical branch of the Indian
Air Force as an cadre .

But remember this that you can apply for the NDA Examination only of you are unmarried male candidate .
You can apply for the NDA Examination while studying in the final year of your 10+2 level of Board education or after
passing your 10+2 level Board Examinations .
The NDA Examination are conducted only for the 10+2 unmarried male candidates of India or refugee
    permanently settled in India .
Your age at the time of applying the National defence Academy examination should be between 16 to 19 years .
And to join the Air Force wing of NDA you should have chosen physics and mathematics subjects in your selected
stream of subjects in your 10+2 level .

The NDA Examination is conducted twice a year as NDA - I and NDA - II Examination .
And this examination are conducted by the Indian UPSC government .
The NDA Examination gives an unmarried male candidate the opportunity to enter in the
following Academies of National defence Academy -:

    1. Air Force Academy .
    2. Naval Academy .
    3. Army or Military Academy .

The NDA Examination is conducted within two papers , which are -:
    1. Mathematics paper which is conducted for a time of 2- Hours and its code is 01 and the paper is
totally conducted for 300 marks .
    2. General Ability Test paper which is conducted for a time of 2- Hours and its code is 02 and the paper is
totally conducted for 600 marks .

Therefore the NDA Examination is conducted for a total of 900 marks .

Thank you for asking , and best of luck .

Re: Should I pursue my graduation or join NDA? What to study for getting in technical line of Air Force?

It Seems that Your Aim is to secure TECHNICAL POST in Airforce

So, with 12th you are not eligible to apply for the TECHNICAL POST
    ANd ,

You will not have High Level jobs with 12th as Qualification in Airforce

So, It is Better to complete Graduation to apply for Higher level posts in Airforce

As your Aim is towards TECHNICAL POST , So it is Good that if you complete B.TECH

See , for the B.tech Graduates , there are Techical Posts in Airforce

Actually , after B.tech , You can apply for the AFCAT exam to join Airforce in Technical Branch

AFCAT - Airforce common admission test

The exam will includes 3 barches .
    Those are ,

    1) Technical Branch
    2) Flying Branch
    3) Ground duty branch

~ For the TECHNICAL Branch Your age should be between 18-28 years

So, it is Better to complete B.tech to apply for the Technical Branch in Airforce

    All the best
