For Joining Navy you should study physics and maths after 10th class. So you can opt for science stream with physics, maths and chemistry if you want to join Indian Navy.

If you complete your 10+2 with physics and maths then you will be eligible for NDA exam through which you can join Indian Navy if you qualify the exam.

There are some non officer grade posts in Navy for which you can apply if you wish to join Navy.

The post like Artificer Apprentice and Senior secondary sailors are also there for which you can apply for after 10+2. These are not officer posts and age limit for it is 17 to 21 years.

For NDA exam your age must be 16 to 19 years and must be unmarried male.

If you want to join NDA then you should clear objective type paper, SSB interview and medical examination .

    Hi

If you in grade 10th, then you have to take up the SCIENCE STREAM for the Higher Secondary classes as it is compulsory for the NDA Navy Aspirants.

As you may know that NDA - National Defense Academy. This is one of the most reputed and important entrances in our country as it is the entry level exam for the Army, Navy and Air Force.
So there are a lot of students who wish to take it up..

The basic Eligibility Criteria for the NDA and Navy asks for :-

    1. Male Unmarried Indians.
    2. Age within 16.5 to 19 years ONLY.
    3. Science candidates can apply for ANY of the 3 wings, but the Commerce and Arts students can ONLY apply for the Army. So if you wish for the Navy then you have to take up the 3 compulsory subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
    4. You should be at your best health. Physical fitness is a must for this.
    5. Only 12th pass candidates can apply/appearing. But not below this qualification.

Thus you have to keep in mind about the subjects that I told you to take up. Please ensure you do so if you want to pursue your career in the Naval field.

    Hope this helps

    All the best
