You can apply for Indian Navy examination through CDS examination.

CDS Stands for Combined Defence Service Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year as namely CDS I and CDS II.This examination is conducted for four elite defences service available in CDS examination and they are :-

-Indian Military Academy
-Indian Naval Academy
-Indian Air force Academy
-Officer Training Academy

To join in the CDS examination you need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria and then only you are eligible to apply for these defence services.

If you want to join in Military Academy/Officer Training :- you should have passed your graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent qualification.

If you want to join in Air force Academy :- you should have passed your graduation (with physics and mathematics at 12th level ) or Bachelor's of engineering from a recognized University or equivalent qualification.

If you want to join in Naval Academy :- you should have possess a B.Sc( with physics & Mathematics) or Bachelor's of Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent qualification and you must have attained the age of 19 years and must not have attained the age of 22 years at the time of appearing for this examination.According to the this year notification(candidate born not earlier than 2nd January,1991(2nd January,1989 in the case of NCC wings C Certificate holder) and not later than 1st January 1994 are eligible to apply.

Final year degree candidates can also apply for this examination but the candidate need to submit proof passing above qualification at a later date to be notified by Union Public Service Commission.

This year notification was already released and last date of application was also already closed.If you are not fill the application forms then you are missed this chance but don't worry next notification will be updated in the official website and the dates is 02-06-12.

This year examination will be held on 12/02/12(CDS I) .
