Re: Is there a Maths paper for OTA?

Yes, It is true that there is No paper of Maths for OTA (Officers’ Training Academy), For OTA, You have to cracked both General Knowledge and English Paper, So If you have cracked both these paper and your name is listed on the Merit list then it means you have cracked the CDS Examination. For Admission to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy, You have to cracked the Elementary Mathematics, eneral Knowledge and English Paper, You have already give 1 preference to the Army , second to the Air Force and 3rd to OTA, and in case if you have not cracked the Maths papers and you cracked the eneral Knowledge and English Paper with good marks and rank then yes you are eligible for OTA.

So, Please prepare well for CDS Examination. The examination will be of 100 marks of 2 hours (For Each Paper). So, Please prepare well for CDS Examination according to the pattern or syllabus, only then you will be able to cracked the CDS Examination. So, please prepare well, practice previous year paper and then definitely you will be able to cracked the CDS examination.

Here I am Uploading the Previous year Paper of CDS Examination, so please checked and keep Practice to cracked CDS Examination and for More Information please check the UPSC Website -

Re: Is there a Maths paper for OTA?

Don't worry, there would not be paper of maths in OTA exam of CDS or Combined Defence Services Exam. This exam is conducted by union public service comission or UPSC twice in a year.*. The exam is conducted for four different fields of Defence service i.e.1. Indian Navy,2. Indian air force,3. Indian Militry and4. Officers Training Acamady. There should be three papers in this combined or common exam: 1. English, 2. General Knowledge and 3. Elemantry maths. These three papers are in IAF, IMS and INS departments but in OTA there are only two papers i.e.1. English and 2. General knowledge.

    Hello,

You can write the C.D.S exam, which gives you option for you to join in O.T.A(Officer Training Academy):-

As you asked whether you will qualify for the C.D.S Exam for joining in O.T.A without learning maths,my answer is that you can absolutely apply for the C.D.S exam for joining in O.T.A. You have to cracked the Elementary Mathematics, eneral Knowledge and English Paper.

    Educational qualification :-

You just need to have completed a degree from a recognized university with a fair percentage,no matter what discipline it is.
    Age :-

Re: Is there a Maths paper for OTA?

    dear friend...

It is true that there is No paper of Maths for OTA (Officers’ Training Academy).
For OTA, You have to cracked both General Knowledge and English Paper, So If you have cracked both these paper and your name is listed on the Merit list ,

then it means you have cracked the CDS Examination. For Admission to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy.

You have to cracked the Elementary Mathematics, eneral Knowledge and English Paper,

You have already give 1 preference to the Army , second to the Air Force and 3rd to OTA,

and in case if you have not cracked the Maths papers and you cracked the eneral Knowledge and English Paper with good marks and rank then yes you are eligible for OTA.

Re: Is there a Maths paper for OTA?

    Dear Friend,
OTA stands for Officers Training Academy and is used to train cadets both men and women and mould them into leaders of future.

Regarding the examination, it is conducted by the UPSC Twice every year. The notification for the OTA written exam is issued in the month of March and October. OTA exam is common with the CDS exam, the only difference is the candidates for OTA do not have to give maths paper unlike the CDS candidate.

Regarding your query, OTA candidates have to give the GK and English Written exam only. There is no need for them to give the maths test.

Maths is not required for OTA candidates.

    Best of Luck
