    Hey friend,

You cannot apply for the Indian Air Force with just completing 10th as there is no exam which offers you to get into Indian Air Force with this qualification.

But you can apply for the entrance exam such as NDA which offers you to get into Indian Air Force when you finish your respected +2.

It offers you an opportunity by showing a way to join in IAF right after completing your school. You need to get good percentile to apply for the exam and you should strictly be a unmarried male candidate in order to apply for the exam as girls are ineligible to apply for the exam.

So,it is better you continue your studies and then apply for the NDA exam when you finish +2 to join in IAF

set up your mind and start preparing for it after passing 10th.

SOME USEFULL TIPS FOR EXAMS -
    1. FOR PCM , level of questions is not high , so prepare keeping this thing in mind.
    2. practise as much as you can for english .
    3. start having a look on newspaper daily.
    4. must know hottest event / cases / decisions / laws / policies / economic policies.
    5. refer 9 , 10 th social studies ncert books for general ability test.

cut off marks in each paper-
    1. general ability test - 40% of the 200. ( i.e. 80)
    2. mathematics - 50% of 200 ( i.e. 100)

    Hello friend,
I'am sorry to say that you are not eligible for joining air force after completing 10th grade since the minimum educational qualification required is 12th grade pass with 60% aggregate from a recognized university. But after completion of 12th grade you can write the Combined defense service exam or the NDA exam conducted by the Union public service commission twice in a year.Once in mid FEBRUARY AND mid SEPTEMBER for CDSE and once in mid APRIL AND mid AUGUST.

Once completing the written test you'l be called in for an interview by the SSB in Bhopal,Bangalore and other centers. It is a 5 day test divided into 2 stages namely 1st and 2nd stage. In 1st stage there will be general ability test, picture perception test.Once you pass these tests you'l be called in for 2nd stage where all the physical, medical and general tests are undertaken. You've to undergo Aviation medical exam and Pilot aptitude battery test and will be posted in any of the training centers

    Friend,

Indian Air force is one of the dream for the all the candidates. All the candidates after the education want to join for the Indian Air force . Indian Air force has the lot of the scope. It select the candidates in a very strict Manner.

If you want to join for the Indian Air force . You have to full fill all the education requirements ( It is different from the Indian Army and Indian Navy) and also Physical Standards ( Special for the Indian Air force)

    Tips

    >> The candidates have to refer the Good books for the Exam. Like Path Finder etc.
    >> daily you have do exercise and try to be involves in the Sports it will help in the selection time
    >> In the Physical Test they will chest you ability by applying the Running, Jumping etc. so be active in this type of the sports.

Re: Tips for joining Indian Air Force for 10th appearing student? Is coaching required to pass the written exam?

    Hi there,

Its goog that you are passionate about the army. Keep that spirit high. Actually, you are in 10th. So, it is my suggestion that first complete your intermediate and then go for the NDA exam because the minimum qualification required for it is intermediate. it would be better for you to opt for physics, chemistry and maths as main subjects. You can carry on your preparation alongside.

You said you are interested in airforce, so i think you should start preparing for the NDA.
Next thing you asked was the necessity of coaching centres. Well, you see it depends on you. If you are going on well with your preparation and you are not facing any problem at all then perhaps you won't need a coaching institute. But if you find some of the subjects or topics difficult to study or you are not being able to plan out a strategy then you always go for a coaching institute.

Its also worthnoting that joining a coaching does not guarantee your selection, it is finally you who decides your selection, your hard work decides your selection. Coaching centres just provide a path and help and I think you should join them.

    Hope all goes well.

    All the best!!!
