    The Candidate Can apply for various course like I.M.A,Air force,Indian Navy and O.T.A Examination.Flying(pilot)SSC :- The candidate must be citizen of India.Both the Male or female candidates are eligible to apply Age should be 19 years to 23 years at the time of appearing for this examination.The graduate degree in degree or B.E/B.Tech with 60% from a recognized university or equivalent qualification.Candidates who are completed or appearing in the final semester of degree course can also eligible.The candidate must have a physics and mathematics in 12th level examination.

    You can try for the Indian Army Short Service commission for Technical men Job


    Application received by Oct / Nov of every year.


    Age Should be 20 to 27 years


    Educational Qualification :Engineering Degree is notified discipline.

    There is no specialization field for Mechenical students in Defense... They can get entry through the following examination..
    >>CDS- CDS is held twice ina year... ince in october and 2nd in april..
    >> SSC exam
    >>>AIFCAT
    >>>OTC
    There should be differnt age criteria for these exams... YOur age should be between 20 to 25 years...
    Relaxation is provided in age for SC and ST candidates...

    There are no vacancies in defence in current situation.

    But you can give CDS,UES to enter in to defence.

    You will get the notification from the newspapers and from the website.

    You will get the complete information from www.upsc.gov.in

    Hi,
    Well being a Mechanical Engineer You have a lot of opportunity to serve your country in the Defence forces. Almost all the bodies of forces recruit the candidates holding a degree in mechanical engineering. Some of these are- If we talk about

    -Indian Army-the army recruits the mechanical Engineers through UES (University Entry Scheme) , TGC(Technical Graduates Course) and SSC(short service commission Technical)
    and besides that the army invites the candidates for general duties which are not technical related through CDS(Combined Defence Services) which is conducted by UPSC.
    You will get the complete information from www.indianarmy.nic.in
    -Indian Air Force- the major recruitment happens through AFCAT(Air force common admission test) in which AE(M) is for mechanical candidates.
    and the candidates those are eligible for the Flying branch and seeks Permanent commission should give CDS. You will get the complete information from www.careerairforce.nic.in
    -Indian Navy- the navy invites mechanical engineers in the Armament Inspection Deptt. & Submarine. It is to note that in the submarine only mechanical candidates are invited.
